Trace Dempsey Cyrus (born Neil Timothy Helson, 1989) is an American singer.
Billy Ray Cyrus, the son of country singer Billy Cyrus and his brother, Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus, was the backbeat and guitarist of the band Metro Station from 2010 to 2014.
He started playing vocals and guitar in the pop rock band Ashland HIGH in 2010.

Early life
Cyrus was born in Ashland, Kentucky, as Neil Timothy Helson. Leticia "Tish" Cyrus's mother is his father. Baxter Neal Helson is his biological father. Billy Ray Cyrus, his mother's second husband, adopted him as a child and spent part of the time in Thompson's Station, Tennessee, Tennessee. Trace Dempsey Cyrus' name was legally changed to Trace Dempsey Cyrus after his adoption.
Cyrus spent his school holidays with Billy Ray, performing with him. Miley, his younger sister who appeared in the Disney Channel original television series Hannah Montana, has a younger sister. On an album she had made in 2008, he performed a track with her.

Career
Cyrus co-wrote "Country Music Has the Blues," a track on Billy Ray's album "Wanta Be Your Joe" in 2006. Loretta Lynn and George Jones guest appearances on the album. Cyrus, a guitarist and singer with the pop rock band Metro Station, was a guitarist and singer. When their mothers decided to do a jam together, he formed the band with Mason Musso in early 2006. Mitchel, Musso's brother, was a member of Hannah Montana. After an intern at Columbia Records discovered their MySpace page, the band was signed. On MTV's Total Request Live on June 9, 2008, Cyrus appeared with Musso. Their band, as well as The Maine, were the two special guest acts on Your Summer Tour's 2008 Soundtrack, co-headlined by Boys Like Girls and Good Charlotte. In early 2010, the Metro Station parted ways.
Cyrus appeared in the song "Hovering" on Miley's album, Breakout in the Deluxe Version, in 2008. He appeared in the music video for Billy Ray's album "Back to Tennessee" in 2008. In 2010, he appeared on Billy Ray's band's album, "Live" for Billy Ray's band Brother Clyde.
Cyrus formed Ashland HIGH in early 2010. On a single named "French Kiss," Cyrus performed vocals and guitar. Cyrus began to perform music independently in 2017 and debuted his first album, "Lights Out," in that year. On September 24, 2021, he released his first EP Killing the Pain.
