Justin Timberlake Life

Justin Randall Timberlake (born January 31, 1981), also known as JT for short, is an American singer, guitarist, actor, dancer, and record producer.

He was born in Tennessee and appeared on the television shows Star Search and The All-New Mickey Mouse Club as a child.

Timberlake came to fame in the late 1990s as one of the two leading vocalists and youngest member of NSYNC, one of the country's best-selling boy bands.

Timberlake began to perform more maturely as an artist with the release of his debut solo album, the R&B-focused Justified (2002), which resulted in the hit singles "Cry Me a River" and "Rock Your Body," and earned him his first two Grammy Awards. FutureSex/LoveSounds (2006), his critically acclaimed second album, which was characterized by its diversity in musical genres, debuted atop the United States. "SexBack," "My Love," and "What Comes Around" were all hits on Billboard 200, the Hot 100 number one singles.

His first two albums, as a solo artist, have sold over ten million copies, and he continues to produce music and collaborate with other artists.

Timberlake concentrated on his acting career from 2008 to 2012, effectively ending his musical career.

Early life

Justin Randall Timberlake was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on January 31, 1981, the son of Janet Lynn (Bomar) Harless and Charles Randall Timberlake, a Baptist church choir director. Jonathan and Stephen, two half-brothers from Charles' second marriage to Lisa Perry, are in Timberlake. Laura Katherine, his half-sister, died shortly after birth on 1997 and is referred to as "My Angel in Heaven" in his inscriptions on the album NSYNC.

Many musicians in his family circle include Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson; his grandfather introduced him to country music artists like Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. Timberlake performed country and gospel music as a youth: at the age of 11, he appeared on the television show Star Search as "Justin Randall," performing country songs. By that time, he was listening to rhythm and blues artists from the 1960s and 1970s, such as Al Green, Stevie Wonder, and Marvin Gaye, and he was also listening sessions with his father, who had been listening to studio albums by the Eagles and Bob Seger.

He appeared on The All-New Mickey Mouse Club in 1993 and 1994, where his coworkers included future girlfriend and singer Britney Spears, future tourmate Christina Aguilera, future bandmate JC Chasez, and future movie stars Ryan Gosling and Keri Russell. Chasez was then recruited by Timberlake to be in an all-male singing group, which was later purchased by boy band owner Lou Pearlman, which later became NSYNC.

Personal life

Timberlake began dating fellow cast member and singer Britney Spears in early 1999. In March 2002, the couple's relationship came to an end. Both Spears and Timberlake attended high school through distance learning at the University of Nebraska High School; Timberlake earned his degree on stage after a performance in Memphis in 2000. He was briefly linked to British singer Emma Bunton in 2003. Cameron Diaz started dating actress Cameron Diaz right after they met at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in April 2003. The couple split in December 2006 shortly after she announced him as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live after much rumors of breakups throughout their marriage.

Jessica Biel, a singer who appeared in January 2007, became Timberlake's first date. They got engaged in December 2011 and married on October 19, 2012 at the Borgo Egnazia resort in Fasano, Italy, where they were born in December 2011. In April 2015, the family's first son was born. They had a second child, a son, in July 2020.

Timberlake bought a 13,250-square-foot (1,231 m2) square foot mansion in Hollywood Hills in July 2002 from Helen Hunt for $8.3 million. Timberlake purchased a unit at 311 West Broadway in SoHo, which was previously owned by Oscar de la Renta, for $6.56 million in 2010. He sold the unit in 2018 for $6.35 million, causing the company to suffer.

Timberlake bought a house in the Yellowstone Club near Big Sky, Montana, in 2015. Timberlake and his partner, Jessica Biel, invested $20.2 million for a 5,375-square-foot (499.4 m2) penthouse unit on Tribeca, Manhattan, in May 2017.

Forbes began reporting on Timberlake's earnings in 2008, estimating that he earned $44 million between June 2007 and June 2008 for his music, tour, marketing, and hospitality, making him the country's fourth highest-paid music celebrity at the time, behind Madonna and Celine Dion. He was ranked twelfth on the Forbes 500 list and second on the "Best-Paid Celebrities Under 30" list in 2012.

Timberlake was the third highest-paid musician of 2013 in 2013, according to Billboard, with a salary of $31 million. On the 2014 list, he ranked 26th, with earnings of $57 million, and 19th on the 2015 list with $63 million. Timberlake was ranked third on the Billboard Money Makers List of 2014.

Forbes ranked him 41st on the 2019 Celebrity 100 list, with gross sales of $57.5 million in 2019.

Justin Timberlake Career

Career

The NSYNC youth band formed in 1995 and began their European careers in 1996; Timberlake and Chasez were the band's two lead singers. The organization came to fame in the United States in 1998 with the debut of their self-titled debut studio album, which sold 11 million copies and included the single "Tearin' Up My Heart." "It's Gonna Be Me" is the band's second album. In the first week, they sold 2.4 million copies, with one of them being a no. 1 single. Celebrity's third album (1999) was also a hit for the NSYNC. "Bye Bye," "Girlfriend," and "This I Promise You" were among the group's top-five hits, as well as "This I Promise You." Following the success of the Celebrity Tour in 2002, the group went into hiatus. The NSYNC won the Academy Awards in 2000, the 2002 Winter Olympics, and the Super Bowl XXV halftime show. The band has sold more than 70 million albums around the world, making them the fifth-best-selling boy band in history.

Timberlake appeared in The Wonderful World of Disney film Model Behavior in 2000. After mistakenly mistaking her for another model, Jason Sharpe, a model who falls in love with a waitress, became a waitress.

The dissolution of NSYNC was aided by his own fame and the general decline in boy bands' popularity. Lance Bass, a member of the Timberlake family, was openly dismissive of the group's book Out of Synch. By 2002, when the company went on a hiatus and members were looking for new music, he joined Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes–and Timbaland team to begin working on new music. A year ago, the prospect of going solo was revived. Timberlake wrote the single "Gone" for Michael Jackson around 2001, but he canceled the album and it was instead released by NSYNC. Nonetheless, Jackson called him before the film was released. Timberlake said in a later interview that it was the first time he felt confident to go solo after that chat. In a retrospective article in 2020, Billboard referred to Celebrity as "the group's swan song," setting the tone for Timberlake's similarly large solo career.

Timberlake debuted his debut solo single "Like I Love You" at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards in August 2002, where he debuted his debut solo single "Like I Love You" at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number two on the UK Singles Chart. Justified, his debut solo studio album, was released in November and debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 for the first week, less than previous 'N Sync's debuts. It has sold over three million copies in the United States and more than ten million copies around the world. Music critics lauded the R&B's presence, which was provided by hip-hop artists The Neptunes and Timbaland. "I just want to do R&B." about the record's musical direction, he said. It's what I grew up listening to. "Cry Me A River" and "Rock Your Body" were two top-five hits on the album.

Timberlake and Christina Aguilera dominated the Justified/Stripped Tour in summer 2003. Later this year, he released the "I'm Lovin' It" album, which McDonald's used as the theme to McDonald's "I'm Lovin' It" campaign. Timberlake's contract with McDonald's earned the firm $6 million. Following his initial Justified World Tour, a tour titled Justified and Lovin' It Live was included in the deal. Timberlake appeared on Nelly's album "Work It" and was remixed and included on Nelly's 2003 remix album.

Timberlake was the first celebrity to appear on Punk'd, Ashton Kutcher's "candid camera" type shows aimed at trick celebrities at the end of 2002. Timberlake, who cried during the episode, later confessed to being under the influence of cannabis when he was defeated. He arranged Kelly Osbourne to be "punk," making him the first celebrity to appear on the program more than once. In a 2003 episode of NBC's Saturday Night Live, Timberlake later spoofed Ashton Kutcher and Punk'd. Timberlake appeared in the skit The Barry Gibb Talk Show, alongside comedian Jimmy Fallon, in which the pair portrayed Bee Gees brothers Barry and Robin Gibb. It was the start of a long-running friendship and collaboration with Fallon.

Timberlake performed with Janet Jackson during the Super Bowl XXVIII halftime show on the CBS television network from Houston in February 2004. Timberlake tore off a piece of Jackson's black leather costume in a "costume reveal" meant to accompany a portion of the song's lyrics at the end of the performance. Timberlake's rep told Jackson that the intended goal was to show a red lace bra. Parts of the costume were removed, and Jackson's breast was briefly revealed. Timberlake apologised for the event, saying he was "sorry that anyone was offended by the wardrobe malfunction during the Super Bowl's halftime appearance." If Timberlake and Jackson decided to apologize on camera at the time, they would have been barred from the 2004 Grammy Awards. When accepting the first of two Grammy Awards (Best Pop Vocal Performance for Justified and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Cry Me a River"), Timberlake attended and released a scripted apology. He had also been nominated for Album of the Year and Record of the Year, as well as Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Where Is the Love?" With The Black Eye Peas.

Timberlake put his film career on hold to appear in several films after the Super Bowl incident, despite having appeared in a few feature films earlier in his career. He played a journalist in Edison Force in 2004 and was given a direct-to-video film release on July 18, 2006. Prince Artie Pendragon was also featured in the animated film Shrek the Third, which was released on May 18, 2007. He appeared in the films Alpha Dog, Black Snake Moan, Richard Kelly's Southland Tales, and voiced Prince Artie Pendragon. In the video for John's album "This Train Don't Stop There Anymore," he appeared as a young Elton John. Timberlake had been supposed to appear in Roger Davis in the film version of Rent, but director Chris Columbus had argued that only the original Broadway members would know the true meaning of Rent, so the role was reimagined by Adam Pascal.

He went on to record with other artists.

After "Where Is the Love?

"He collaborated with the Black Eyed Peas on the 2005 track "My Style," from their album Monkey Business, "my Style." Timberlake discovered a throat disorder when recording his 2005 single "Signs" with Snoop Dogg. In an operation that took place on May 5, 2005, nodules were subsequently removed from his throat. For at least a few months, he was told not to sing or talk loudly. JayTee Records, a record store, was founded in 2005.

Timberlake's second studio album, FutureSex/LoveSounds, was released on September 12, 2006. Timberlake's album, which was released from 2005 to 2006, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart, with 684,000 copies in its first week. It became iTunes's most popular one-week sales of a digital album, beating Coldplay's record for the highest one-week sales of a digital album. Timbaland and Danja (who produced the majority of the album) will.am, Rick Rubin, and Timberlake himself, with guest vocals by Snoop Dogg from Three 6 Mafia, T.I. Willi.am and the others will. It's been described as "all about sexiness" and aiming for "an adult feel" by a studio representative.

Timberlake's lead single, "SexyBack," debuted at the start of the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks in a row. "My Love," the album's second single, also produced by Timbaland and starring rapper T.I., debuted on the Hot 100, as did third single "What Goes Around." According to actress Elisha Cuthbert, the song was inspired by his childhood friend and business partner Trace Ayala. Timberlake said in October 2006 that he would concentrate on his music career rather than film roles, hinting that leaving the music industry would be a "dumb thing to do at this point." He appeared on "SexyBack," "My Love," and "LoveStoned" at the 2006 Victoria's Secret Fashion Exhibition, where he sang "SexyBack," "My Passion" and "LoveStoned" were among the special guest performers.

Timberlake performed several live shows, including the European MTV Music Awards in 2006. Timberlake performed double duty as both host and musical guest for the second time on December 16, 2006, on Saturday Night Live. During this appearance, he and Andy Samberg performed an R&B song titled "Dick in a Box," which some radio stations broadcasted as an unofficial single from Timberlake. It was described as "one of the most iconic musical moments in the show's history" by Billboard and one of the most watched videos on YouTube at the time. On their "50 Greatest 'Saturday Night Live' Sketches of All Time,' Rolling Stone listed the skit at number three. The song earned him an Emmy Award and was later included on The Lonely Island's debut album Incredibad.

Timberlake embarked on the FutureSex/LoveShow tour in January 2007. Following singles off the album, "LoveStoned/I Think She Knows" and "Until the end of Time" both reached the top 20 on the Hot 100, while "Summer Love" reached the top ten. The song "Get It to Me," a Timbaland single on which Timberlake guests with Nelly Furtado, has climbed to number one on the Hot 100. FutureSex/LoveSounds was eventually added to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's musical collection and archive.

Timbaland's "4 Minutes" was first performed at Jingle Ball in Philadelphia on December 17, 2007. "4 Minutes" was revealed to be a duet between Timberlake and Madonna with backing vocals by Timbaland. It was the lead single from Madonna's 11th studio album Hard Candy, which featured four other song-writing collaborations with Timberlake, including one of the executive producers. The single was a global hit, debuting in more than 21 countries around the world. Timberlake also appeared in the music video, which was also produced by Jonas & François.
