Jiro Wang Life

Jiro Wang (born August 24, 1981) is a Taiwanese singer and actor who began his modeling career.

Wang is a member of the Taiwanese Mandopop boy band Fahrenheit.

Life

Jiro Wang was born in Taiwan on August 24, 1981. He earned a degree in Advertising Design from Fu Shin Trade and Arts College. Wang's father died when he was 18 years old, leaving him and his mother stranded with the family's debt. Wang did three jobs at a time, including flyer marketing, dressing up as a mascot for Taipei's Zoo Mall, waiting tables at a bar, a part-time model, and even hard labour as a construction employee to pay the enormous debt. He entered the commercial and modeling industry right after graduating from arts college. Following 9/11, BMG, the label that signed him, wanted to package Jay Chou and Jordan Chan under the "3J Policy," but the 3J scheme was scrapped when BMG's shares fell. Wang has since pursued his career in fashion through commercial modeling and teaching backstage in fashion design. Around 2004, he was discovered again, beginning his acting career.

He speaks fluent Mandarin and Mandarin and is fluent in Chinese and Mandarin, as well as knowing conversational English.

Wang used to be a lead singer for a Karma underground band. Wang wrote the lyrics to their song, "Rénjin táowáng j"). Later, the band changed its name to Dong Cheng Wei ().

Wang also performed solo concerts in Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo, Japan, as well as Beijing and Shenzhen in China, in 2013.

Wang, among other things, uses his Weibo account to promote various charitable causes, including those relating to helping elderly war veterans (such as Wang's own father), elderly street hawkers, and animal rights. His early financial challenges made him a firm believer in helping those in need and giving them the opportunity to give. Despite the fact that he has used his celebrity to help charities like Taiwan's Syinlu Social Welfare Foundation raise funds and awareness for those with intellectual disabilities, such as shooting the micro-film entitled Seeing and designing packaging for the selling of their handicrafts, he remains relatively low-profile regarding his personal charitable contributions. For example, some of his acts of kindness came only when organizations announced a list of their donors.

Wang's own fashion company M JO launched on February 14, 2010. "Enjoy Love, Life, and Peace," the label's slogan says, aligned with its founding date on Valentine's Day. Wang designs the caps, clothing, and accessories, which are characterized by bold, vivid, and colorful styles as a design student with a passion for art. Wang, a designer well-known in the industry for his filial piety, credits his mother for his creative gifts and love of design. Wang was a tailor/custom dressmaker, and she learned a part of his craft while watching her work unfold when she was young. He was partially inspired to create the style name as a gift to his mother. Wang curated an exhibit for the World Trade Centre (Hong Kong), in keeping with the 2014 FIFA World Cup, where Wang's artwork, M JO products, and his label's iconic JO robot were on display from 30 May – July 17, 2014. Wang was invited to create the Line "M JO JO Rob" collection of virtual stickers/large-sized emoji for the company in 2014, making him the first Taiwanese celebrity to produce vendable stickers for the company. He created a series of 40 virtual stickers, which were released in LINE's sticker store on April 24, 2015. M JO's iconic JO robot was his inspiration.

Jiro Wang, a Taipei hair salon, together with his fellow Fahrenheit (Taiwanese band) mates, Calvin Chen and Wu Chun, invests in WoMen Hair, a trendy hair salon. They attended the inaugural ceremony of WoMen Hair, which is run by Sam Chen, a longtime acquaintance and colleague.

Wang's obsession with art and Japanese manga exceeds NT$10 million (roughly). In Taiwan, an investment of US$315,000 (exclusive agent rights for Chibi Maruko-chan merchandise is made. As a child, he'd have been rushing home after school to watch the television series over his mealtime. Jiro Wang traveled to Japan at the end of 2013 to speak with manga artist Momoko Sakura, creator of the series Chibi Maruko-chan. Momoko Sakura was wowed by Jiro Wang's personal artwork, which culminated in a joint exhibition in Chibi Maruko-chan's 30th anniversary book entitled, which was both in Japanese and traditional Chinese. The collaboration between Jiro Wang and Momoko Sakura is on display in Japan as part of the series' larger 30th anniversary exhibition (September 6th to November 12, 2015), and Hong Kong (January 4, 2015). Jiro Wang and Ivan Wang formed Toyu / (a mash-up of their Chinese names) in 2014 and became Taiwan's sole agents for selling Chibi Maruko-chan products. They're planning to film a Chibi Maruko-chan film, and Jiro Wang may play Maruko's father or her classmate Kazuhiko Hanawa, depending on Maruko's age in the film.

Wang's hobby in his spare time, as well as in cosplay, has piqued interest in putting Gundam models together and also in cosplay, a pastime he has enjoyed since his art school days (when he used to make his own costumes), and he often posted images on his Instagram and/or Weibo pages as manga or anime characters, such as Iron Man, Wolverine, Batman, and Captain America.

Jiro Wang Career

Career

Wang is most well-known as the male lead in the Taiwanese drama KO One () (in which he plays Wang Da Dong, where he obtained his name because it is very similar to his real name, Wang Dong Cheng) and its sequel The X-Family. In the Taiwanese version of Fantastic Boys, he is also known for roles as Ah Jin in It Started with a Kiss, as Jin Xiu Yi in the live-action Taiwanese drama, Hana-Kimi () and Huang Tai Jing.

Wang Chun has been named as the male lead in "Night Tenjo," a live-action Japanese manga film starring Korean actress Riiko Izawa, on May 3, 2011.

During the summer of 2013, Transformers: Age of Extinction began a virtual Chinese casting competition for four different categories in China, Wang emerged as the most popular contestant in the "Action Guy" category out of a field of 70,000 participants. More than 500,000 people voted for their top candidates online, with Wang consistently leading the "Action Guy" category with more than 133,000 votes. Despite his fame, Wang regretfully decided to pull out of the competition due to a scheduling conflict with KO One Re-act's filming schedule and Transformers 4's training schedule, deciding not to hold up KO One Re-act's production crew, which had already started filming scenes and had already gone on-air in Taiwan and online in mainland China. Wang resigned on the casting contest's website, but he's truly grateful for all the help he received during the Transformers 4 casting competition and I'm very fortunate to have ranked first in the "Action Guy" category. Since childhood, I've been a Transformers fan, and the first three installments of the film closely followed me. On learning that M1905 Movie Web was organising a casting competition for Chinese actors, I jumped right in, hoping to fulfill my childhood dream of fighting alongside Bumblebee (Transformers). The overwhelming wave of support and votes that I received was overwhelming, and I was delighted to be notified by the organizers that the second round of training had begun. I regretfully have to acknowledge those unfinished work commitments in order not to hold up the entire production team, and will therefore have to decline the opportunity to film. Wang reiterated his appreciation for fans' warm support during a media appearance for the KO One React television series. Despite his agony over the missed opportunity, he described the voting process as an incredible memory to have and to share with his supporters.

Wang also became the creator of the drama series The Crossing Hero (), in addition to his role as male lead. The series caused a lot of buzz online ahead of airtime: the keyword ### (The Crossing Hero) was read more than 14 million times as of March 18, 2015, with more than 39,000 people taking part in the discussion on Sina Weibo, the Chinese micro-blogging site. Within the first two hours, the series had over 2.72 million viewers on its first episode, leading the "Hot Topics" list on Sina Weibo at the time. By the end of the first day on March 23, 2015, viewership had hit 4.4 million.

Wang starred in the popular Chinese manga adaption live action series Rakshasa Street in 2016. With its airing on Youku (one of China's most popular video portal), Rakshasa Street's viewership has surpassed 2.9 billion by November 22, 2017. Season 2 will be announced by the producer and Wang himself.

Wang was the first one to join Fahrenheit. He is the group's baritenor vocalist. He is the one that is expected to perform in the majority of the songs due to his fluency in the language. His publicized temperature is at 95 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer (; rè).

On his 31st birthday, August 24, 2012, Wang's first solo album What Are You Waiting For (Chinese:)
