Joseph Anthony Fatone Jr. (born January 28, 1977) is an American singer, dancer, actor, and television presenter.

He is best known as a member of the NSYNC, a boy band in which he sang baritone.

On the ABC reality show Dancing with the Stars, he finished second in 2007.

He hosted The Singing Bee, both in the United States and Australia, which aired on NBC in the United States.

Fatone was also the announcer for the game show Family Feud from 2010 to 2015.

Fatone appeared on Food Network's Rewrapped, Live Well Network's My Family Recipe Rocks, and My Family Recipe Rocks – The Price Is Right Live! At Bally's Las Vegas.

Early life and education

Fatone was born in Brooklyn, New York City, as the son of Joe and Phyllis Fatone. He has a brother and a sister, Janine, and was born on 2140 84th Street in Bensonhurst, England. The Orions, his father, had sung in a doo-wop band. He and his family immigrated to Orlando, Florida, where he attended Dr. Phillips High School at age 13.

Personal life

Fatone met Kelly Baldwin when they were still in high school in 1993. The couple's relationship was off-and-on after joining NSYNC two years ago.

It was a much rumored rumors that Fatone briefly dated singer Pink in early 2000, to whom Pink responded, "[Joey] took me to Friendly's as a casual date, not like a date. I just wanted ice cream. We were in the friend zone." Though they did technically go on a date, the singer has claimed that it was more platonic and that Fatone was "a complete sweetheart."

Briahna, the couple's first child, was born exactly a year after rekindling his love with Baldwin, just shy of the release of NSYNC's No Strings Attached's debut in the spring of 2000. In the fall of 2002, they became involved.

Fatone married Baldwin at Oheka Castle on Long Island, New York, on September 9, 2004 – a wedding that was attended by all his NSYNC bandmates. Briahna Joely, born March 21, 2001, and a second daughter born in January 2010. Lance Bass, Fatone's best friend, is their godfather.

Fatone performed "Wolfie" in Beetlejuice's Rock and Roll Graveyard Revue at Universal Studios in Orlando after high school. He befriended fellow park performer Chris Kirkpatrick, who recruited him as the fourth member of a new vocal group that included Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez in the summer of 1995. Lance Bass was later joined by them, and the band NSYNC was formed. Fatone performed baritone with the band from its inception to 2002, when the band went on an indefinite hiatus, which saw them sell more than seven million albums around the world. On the single "Together Again" and the No Strings Attached album track "I Thought She Knew," he appeared lead vocals. Fatone co-starred with bandmate Bass in the 2001 romantic comedy film On the Line and guest-starred with the band on The Simpsons episode, New Kids on the Blecch, as a member of NSYNC.

NSYNC reassembles on August 25, 2013 for a one-off appearance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. After the show, they performed a medley of "Girlfriend" and "Bye Bye," and Lance Bass said that there were no plans for a reunion tour or new music. For a one-off appearance with Ariana Grande at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April 2019, the band reunited without Timberlake. The NSYNC have long been linked to rumors of a reunion, to which Fatone has replied: "Never say never."

Fatone appeared Cousin Angelo in the comedy film My Big Fat Greek Wedding in 2002, a role he reprised in the television adaptation My Big Fat Greek Life and the 2016 sequel. In the same year he made his Broadway debut, he appeared in Rent at the Nederlander Theatre in New York. He went on to star in the critically acclaimed film The Cooler and appeared in minor roles in the experimental film Red Riding Hood and Homie Spumoni, the latter alongside Jamie-Lynn Sigler. He appeared in The Producers and 42nd Street in Pittsburgh and Rock of Ages at Bally's Las Vegas in 2004 as a revival of Little Shop Of Horrors.

Fatone appeared in the first season of Robot Chicken, "Enter the Fat One" was a kung fu skit who later appeared on the show for the first time. He appeared in the Syfy film Jersey Shore Shark Attack, the Mac's television series Return to the Mac, and the Comedy Central feature Cursed Friends. In addition to numerous other television shows and horror films, including Inkubus (2011) and Dead 7 (2016), Fatone has guest-starred in the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana, Imagination Movers, and Kim Possible.

In 2005, Fatone was the "ringmaster" for NBC's Reality Show Celebrity Circus. He hosted On Nine Network's The Singing Bee and the Australian version of the show in 2007. He and Lisa Rinna also worked on TV Guide's red carpet in the same year. Along Jeremy Borash, Fatone co-hosted the live pre-show for TNA Wrestling's biggest annual pay-per-view event, TNA Bound for Glory.

Fatone appeared on Family Feud from 2010 to 2015. In the time he was host of My Family Recipe Rocks, the Food Network cooking competition Rewrapped, the series Parents Just Don't Understand on Hub Network, and he was a celebrity guest host of The Price Is Right Live! At Bally's Las Vegas, you will enjoy the show. Fatone was one of eight celebrities in the Food Network reality show Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off. Despite being disqualified in week six, he received a $5,000 grant for his charity, the Fatone Family Foundation.

Fatone appeared on the underground camera show Impractical Jokers in February 2014, swapping out show regular Brian Quinn in the event of a challenge. He made repeat appearances on the show as host or featured guest in a number of specials, including one based at his Orlando hot dog restaurant, Fat One. Fatone is the permanent host of the spin-off series Impractical Jokers: After a party and a cameo in Impractical Jokers: The Movie in 2020, he appeared at The Movie on Saturday.

On season one of the singing competition show The Masked Singer, Fatone portrayed "Rabbit" tying for fourth place overall, with Rumer Willis tying for fourth place. Currently, he is the host of the game show Common Knowledge, which premiered on January 14, 2019 on the Game Show Network. He appeared on the Irish talent show Last Singer Standing in 2021 as a panelist.

Fatone will appear in season 4 of Dancing with the Stars, which premiered on February 1, 2007. He ended up placing second in the mirror ball to Apolo Anton Ohno and Julianne Hough, who lost the tie. He competed with professional partner Kym Johnson. Fatone appeared on Dancing with the Stars for the second time in his career, this time as a sideshow. They were the second couple to be disqualified from the game. In season 27 as a trio partner to John Schneider and Emma Slater, he appeared in Trio Week.

Fatone appeared on Holland America Line's "Dancing with the Stars at Sea" aboard the MS Eurodam in February 2013. On the MS Nieuw Amsterdam of Holland America Lines, he returned to Dancing with the Stars at Sea. He was paired with Lacey Schwimmer and appeared with Mark Ballas, Sabrina Bryant, and a dance group.
