She appeared in all of the spin-off series Teen Mom's four seasons before it came to an end in 2012.
She unveiled her debut studio album and first memoir in August, both of which were titled My Teenage Dream Ended.
The book made it to The New York Times bestseller list.
Early life
Farrah Abraham was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Michael Abraham, her father, is of Syrian and Italian descent. Debra Danielsen, her mother, is of Danish and Sicilian descent. Ashley Danielson, Ashley Danielson's half-sister, grew up with her. She and her mother married David Merz in 2017.
Personal life
Abraham submitted a report to the Palm Beach Police Department accusing then Windsor, California mayor Dominic Foppoli of sexually assaulting her in April 2021. Photographs, video, and audio recordings were included in the filing. Abraham provided photographs, video, and audio. As of May 2021, the matter is under felony investigation. She is one of nine people to accuse Foppoli of sex crimes. Foppoli resigned within three hours of reporters requesting information about her allegations.
Career
Abraham, then 17, was selected to appear on MTV's 16 and Pregnant, a reality series that sought to chronicle pregnant teenagers around the United States in 2008. With Danielsen's calling her daughter a whore and banning her from getting an abortion, Abraham was forced to stop cheering due to her pregnancy. In addition, Derek Underwood, the father of her child's child, died in a car crash during filming. On February 23, 2009, Abraham gave birth to Sophia Laurent Abraham, the couple's daughter. In 2009, Abraham's episode of 16 and Pregnant aired.
She appeared on episodes of 16 and Pregnant during their first years of motherhood, later this year. On December 8, 2009, the series premiere was broadcast. Abraham and her mother are seen as having a difficult friendship throughout Teen Mom, with Danielson facing prosecution in an Iowa court for assaulting her in January 2010. Abraham began seeing a therapist to address her family's turbulent marriage because she could not cope with her mother's behavior, as well as her feelings about Sophia's father, Derek Underwood, and his death. Despite no previous contact with Sophia, Farrah eventually revealed to Derek's family via a paternity test that Derek was indeed Sophia's father and then was faced with a lawsuit brought by Derek's mother for grandparents' visitation rights.
She first started attending the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Florida, where she earned an associate degree in culinary arts and management. She later introduced the "Mom & Me" pasta sauce line.
With the introduction of her debut studio album My Teenage Dream Ended on August 1, 2012, Abraham ventured into the music industry. Contemporary music critics gave it largely critical feedback, but avant-garde outsider art has since been praised. On August 14, Abraham published a memoir with the same name. Teen Mom's series finale aired on August 29, 2012, after being on air for four seasons.
Abraham appeared on the fourth season of Couples Therapy in January 2014. However, Brian Dawe said he was hired by Abraham to appear as her on-screen boyfriend, but he did not appear alongside her. Abraham became the first cast member in the series to continue therapy without a partner, and she was refocused on repairing her mother's marriage.
"I'm not a 'leak'," a press release from Vivid Entertainment announcing her second sex tape Farrah 2: Backdoor and More in February revealed: "it's the real, raw, ridiculous deal" and it fits Farrah's underhanded persona." According to reports, Farrah received $1 million from selling her sex tape with James Deen. Abraham appeared in Being Farrah, a continuation of Teen Mom; Bookout, Lowell, and Portwood were included in the specials Being Maci, Being Catelynn, and Being Amber later this month. MTV wanted to revive the series without Abraham, but the other women were worried that it was an inappropriate influence on their children.
With the release of the song "Blowin" and the simultaneous premiere of its accompanying music video in March 2014, Abraham returned to the music industry in March 2014. She said that treating music as a "hobby, not a career move." She signed a deal with Palazio's Gentleman's Club in Austin, Texas, in August 2014, for a stay until New Year's Eve.
Farrah was kicked out of the show by producer Morgan J. Freeman in October 2017 because of her work in the adult entertainment industry. Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd followed her, and she was eventually replaced by her.
Abraham appeared on the 16th series of the British television series Celebrity Big Brother in 2015, representing the United States. She became the fifth housemate to be evicted on September 18. She was not one of the top-voted housemates, and Austin Armacost, her fellow housemate, threatened to evict her. She had been in the house for 23 days.
She appeared on the Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side after-show and got into a tense discussion with fellow panelist Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace on September 22, 2015. After a "clash" between panelists, the show was taken off air ten minutes early. Hertfordshire Police issued cautions to Abraham and Janice Dickinson.
