Maci Bookout McKinney (born Maci DeShane Bookout, August 10, 1991) is an American reality television celebrity, writer, and public speaker.
Born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, she attracted national notice after being cast in the reality television series 16 and Pregnant, which chronicled the pregnancies and first months of motherhood for several young women.
She appeared in each of its four seasons before its cancellation in 2012.
Bookout, along with Catelynn Baltierra, Amber Portwood, and Farrah Abraham, returned to MTV in March 2015 for the fifth season of the program, renamed Teen Mom OG. Bulletproof is Jennifer McCarthy's first book, and she published I Wasn't Born Bulletproof: Lessons I've Learned in September 2016. Personal life
Gene and Sharon Bookout's bookout was the first child of a family; she also has an older brother named Matt. She attended Chattanooga State Community College in Spring 2015 and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree after graduating from Ooltewah High School in 2009.
Bookout discovered pregnancy with her first child with then-boyfriend Ryan Edwards on October 27, 2008, and they welcomed Bentley Cadence to their son Bentley Cadence. The two met in 2009 but then broke it down in 2010. Bookout began dating Kyle King, a childhood friend from Edwards after the breakup. The pair briefly lived together, but they broke off their relationship in 2012 amid rumors of King's infidelity.
Taylor McKinney, a Texas motocross racer, was the first bookout to date her. In January 2015, Bookout and their first child together became pregnant, and they welcomed their daughter Jayde Carter on May 29, 2015. When filming an episode of Teen Mom OG together, McKinney suggested to Bookout on January 19, 2016, in Venice Beach, California, just before the pair revealed that they were pregnant with their second child together. On May 31, 2016, she gave birth to her son Maverick Reed.
Bookout and McKinney were married in Greenville, Florida, on October 8, 2016.
Since being born with their son, Bookout has had problems with ex, Ryan Edwards. Following allegations that Edwards left voicemail messages threatening to kill their son and threatening Bookout and McKinney, it was revealed in March 2018 that Bookout and husband Taylor had filed a letter of protection against Edwards. The order of protection was later suspended, and a mutual restraining order was established in May 2018.
