Pyo Ji-hoon (born February 2, 1993), also known as P. O. on stage, is a South Korean rapper.

He is a member of the South Korean boy group Block B and its sub-unit Bastarz.

Early life and education

Pyo Ji-hoon was born in Seoul, South Korea, on February 2, 1993. He attended Hanlim Multi Art School, graduating in 2012.

Personal life

On March 28, 2022, P.O. enlisted in the Republic of Korea Marine Corps. The department announced that P.O. 21022 was delayed until June 2022. He had just been posted to the Marine Corps headquarters in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, and had wanted to serve in a military band. Previously, he postponed his military service until December 2021 to concentrate on broadcasting and acting.

P.O. began acting lessons in elementary school and enrolled Hanlim Multi Art School to pursue his dream of being an actor. He and his bestfriend, Mino, fell in love with Hip hop together. He decided to return to Stardom Entertainment after being kicked out of other Agencies before losing weight and turning down bids from other Agencies.

In April 2011, P.O. debuted with Block B. During an interview in Thailand in February 2012, the band received a lot of flak over its disrespectful conduct, particularly jokes about the previous year's flood disaster. Since finding of a petition urging the members to commit suicide, P.O. fainted and was hospitalized for shock on February 24, according to reports.

P.O. released a song made specifically for them in order to express his appreciation to BBC (Block B Club). On September 25, his "Dear My Wife" was announced into his cyworld, which featured (previously part of BoM's) Winner's Mino.

The Show's MCs, along with fellow Block B member Zico, were chosen as MCs. P.O. referred to a wealthy family's background in announcing that his father runs a duty-free store on a November 2012 episode of Weekly Idol.

P.O's first song, "Amino Acid" from his Mixtape Bigboi, was released on March 9, starring Winner's Mino. He continued releasing songs each day until March 21. In their song "Mega-Yak," a rookie girl group called Delight featured P.O. P.O appeared in Kye Bum-zu's "Something Special" music video with Hello Venus' Yoon-jo in September 2013.

P.O. was featured in the V.O.S.'s "It's Not a Big Deal" digital single, released January 6, in 2014. P.O. co-wrote the lyrics for the SBS drama Secret Door's title track, which was performed by Block B and announced on September 22.

P.O, along with members U-Kwon and B-Bomb, was announced on April 5 that they would participate in Block B's first sub-unit, Bastarz. The sub-unit's album was released on April 13, as well as a YouTube for the title track "Zero for Conduct," and it debuted at No. 1. 3 on the Gaon album chart.

P.O. was instrumental in the development of the Bastarz album, receiving sole lyrics credit and a composition award for "Charlie Chaplin," a lyrics credit for "Thief," as well as a lyrics and composition award for "Sue Me," which he performed alongside the rapper Incredivle.

P.O appeared on Block B's "I Don't Know Why" by Kim Soo-chul on May 23, when they performed a version of the song "I Don't Know Why" by Kim Soo-chul. P.O appeared in Kye Bum Zu's "Give It 2 U," a late July publication.

In October, Bastarz unveiled a Japanese version of "Conduct Zero," a Japanese version of "Conduct Zero"; the song's CD single debuted at No. 1. The Oricon weekly chart has a 20th spot on the Oricon weekly chart.

P.O appeared in the theatrical performance Superman.com, which he also helped write and produce as part of a new theatrical troupe, Company Boy.

Block B announced in October that the Bastarz sub-unit would have a comeback, with a lead single produced by P.O., which was released on October 24. Welcome to BASTARZ, the sub-unit's second mini-album, was released on October 31; P.O. received lyrics for all five songs on the album, as well as composition credits for three of them.

In October, the OnStyle network announced that P.O. and fellow Block B member U-Kwon would be on the new show Lipstick Prince. From December 1, 2016, to February 16, 2017, the first season appeared on televisions from December 1, 2016.

In three episodes from January 26 to 27, 2017, P.O was cast in Living Together in Empty Room, a special variety show on MBC for the Korean New Year. Two women, trot singer Hong Jin-young and comedian Kim Shin-young, entered P.O.'s house during the exhibition. The program debuted at No. 12 in the United States. 1 is one of New Year's specials. P.O. would be one of the cast members, and it was announced in March that the show would be picked up and broadcast as a series.

In addition, P.O. was selected as an MC for Strange Restaurant, a cooking variety show that premiered on the O'Live television channel on March 13. P.O hosted the show, where guests attempted to cook dishes they had ordered, alongside Kim Jong-min, Kim Yong-man, and Seo Jang-hoon.

P.O. appeared in the second season of Lipstick Prince, which premiered on March 30.

P.O had been cast in the forthcoming drama "Our First Romance," starring Lee Jong-hyun and Lee Yu-bi and written by Go Sun Hee, who also wrote the Trap's tvN drama Cheese. P.O. had been cast on a pilot MBC variety show called the Secret Variety Institute later this month.

P.O will be an MC for the SBS MTV music series The Show in May, along with Jeonghwa of EXID and Yeonwoo of Momoland. P.O appeared in his second play, Manitoz, which ran from June 17 to 25. He and fellow group member U-Kwon were awarded the Maxim K-Model Idol Award in June. P.O. had been cast in the SBS drama Temperature of Love, which premiered in September, and it was announced in July. The show's debut episode attracted the most viewers in its time slot.

P.O performed on Block B: Project-1, a Japanese special project album, on September 20, and along with fellow Block B member U-Kwon and Japanese rapper Chanmina, they performed the song "Winner" on the Japanese special project album.

P.O. would make his solo debut on September 19. He was born on September 27 and featured the singer Chancellor.

P.O. released a tribute album for late singer Yoo Jae-ha in December to celebrate his 30th anniversary of his debut.

P.O. appeared on Living Together in Empty Room in spring 2018 as a cast member, along with stylist Han Hyeon and Jinyoung of Got7. In addition, the Company Boy troupe produced another version of Superman.com in which P.O. appeared. He became a regular cast member of Great Escape and New Journey to the West 5/6 later this year.

In addition to his appearances on variety shows, P.O. appeared in two dramas, Encounter (broadcast by tvN) and Love Alert (broadcast by MBN).

On November 11, 2018, P.O. released "Comme des Garçons," a new song. P.O's life from his debut to the present is chronicled in the song's funky sound and personal lyrics.

P.O would appear in the forthcoming second season of Kang's Kitchen, during the broadcast of the last episode of New Journey to the West 6 on December 2, 2018.

P.O. will appear in a new theatrical production by the Company Boy troupe, a live version of the 2005 film Boy Goes to Heaven that will run from February 16 to March 3.

P.O will be the master of ceremonies for the forthcoming MBC Entertainment Awards in November 2019, along with Hwasa of Mamamoo and Jun Hyun-moo.

P.O. appeared in another Company Boy theatrical production, Almost, Maine, in December 2020. In the film, which ran from December 25, 2020, to February 14, 2021, P.O. played Randy and Dave. P.O. also appeared in the play's Busan production, which took place in June 2021.

Seven Seasons, P.O.'s brand, announced in September 2021 that he would not be renewing his deal with them until the end of the month.

P.O. officially signed with Artist Company on October 29, 2021.

P.O.W. will be filming his last show Amazing Saturday in March, three days before his military service, on February 10, 2022.
