In April 2011, U-Kwon debuted with Block B. It was announced four years ago that U-Kwon would participate in Block B's first sub-unit, Bastarz, along with members P.O. and B-Bomb. The group's first album was released on April 13, 2015, and on September 31, 2016. Between U-Kwon and B-Bomb, the Block B album Blooming Period's "Bingle Bingle" was released in April 11, 2016. On June 24, 2016, U-Kwon released his first Japanese solo, "Painless" (); the song was composed by him for the short vampire film Q Chan, in which he appeared.

U-Kwon had been cast on the idol-dance competition show Hit the Stage on June 24, 2016. U-Kwon performed the Joker in the premiere episode of the show with a dance routine in which he portrayed the Joker.

The Maxim K-Model Idol Award was given to U-Kwon and fellow Block B member P.O. in June 2017.

From August 26 to September 7, 2017, U-Kwon hosted a seven-show, six-city tour of Japan, as well as fellow Block B member Taeil as the special unit T2u. Along with P.O. and Japanese rapper Chanmina, U-Kwon performed the song "Winner" on the Japanese special project album Block B: Project-1, which was released on September 20, 2010.

On October 18, it was announced that U-Kwon had been chosen to host The Power of K. The Power of K was also selected by Keith of Momoland and Shownu of Monsta X. Both Korea and Japan began airing the show in January 2018.

"Baby Baby," U-Kwon and the singer Rothy performed an OST song for the drama Jugglers in December 2017.

Block B unveiled the album Re: Montage, which features a solo song by U-Kwon's "Everything" on January 8, 2018. U-Kwon contributed to write the lyrics in addition to assisting with the performance. In addition, U-Kwon wrote the Japanese lyrics to the 2018 T2u song "Good Bye" (which appears on the Block B The Best album), and the Japanese lyrics to the song "Ocean," which appears on the subunit's debut album, T2U.

U-Kwon announced on August 12, 2022, during Haha's Twitch stream with him, that he left KQ Entertainment and is now working alone before deciding on an entertainment company to join before deciding on a game firm to join.
