Hong Si-young (born January 24, 1991), better known by his stage name Giriboy, is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer who has signed to Just Music.
Career
Giriboy began his musical career in 2011 with the single "You Look So Good to Me," which was released under Just Music, a band that had only recently founded by rapper Swings. He released the EP Fatal Album the following year, a lot of which he had written years before as a high school student. Fatal Album II, Robert's second EP, will be released later this year.
Giriboy appeared on season three of Show Me the Money in 2014. He also landed on the top 100 of the Gaon Digital Chart for the first time this year with the single "Fluttering Feelings," a joint effort with singer NS Yoon-G. The album's peak was at No. 81. On the chart, there are 6 positions.
In 2015, he appeared on reality television show No Mercy, in which he worked on songs with the contestants (who would form Monsta X) and with established artists Soyou and Mad Clown. He also released the album Sexual Perceptions, which reached No. 1 on the charts. In March, 10 on the Gaon Album Chart came in tenth.
Mechanical Album, his fourth album, was released in 2016. In 2017, he released 5 Songs For Initiation, his fifth EP. Graduation, his fifth album, was released in December of the same year.
Giriboy became the co-CEO of WEDAPLUGG Records in 2018, alongside Just Music labelmate and CEO Swings.
