Personal life
Kangin was enlisted for his mandatory military service at the Nonsan military camp in Chungcheongnam-do Province on July 5, 2010 for five weeks of basic training followed by 20 months of active service with the Republic of Korea Army. He was drafted from the 56th army division in Namyangju-si in Gyeonggi-do on April 16, 2012.
Career
Kangin officially debuted on November 6, 2005 on SBS' music show Popular Songs, performing their first single, "Today" (Knock Out) "Knock Out). SuperJunior05 (Twins) was released a month later on December 5, 2005, and it debuted at number three on the monthly MIAK K-pop charts.
SM Entertainment began recruiting new members for the forthcoming Super Junior generation in March 2006. However, the scheme changed and the company reported a halt in the production of future Super Junior generations.
