Kim Jong-woon (born August 24, 1984), better known by his stage name Yesung, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, comedian, radio presenter, and MC.

He debuted in 2005 as a member of Super Junior and its subgroups Super Junior-K.R.Y.

On November 6, 2005, Yesung officially debuted as part of the 12-member project group Super Junior 05, the first single on SBS's music show Popular Songs, performing their first song, "Twins (Knock Out)"; A month later, SuperJunior05 (Twins) was announced on December 5, 2005, and it debuted at #3 on the monthly MIAK K-pop album charts, a month later.

Yesung hosted M.I.R.A.C.L.E for You, a radio program that featured celebrities from September 2006 to September 2007, where Super Junior members often appeared as guests. Yesung appeared on Music Bank for the first time and on his first solo appearance on June 4, and it rose to third place on show's K-Chart.

Yesung appeared as MC's for MBC's Love Pursuer in July 2010. The show features a Korean celebrity being treated with adoration from a mystery admirer, as well as the challenge of determining who the admirer is. In episode 10, Yesung was the object of adoration. He fell from a platform and strained his waist again during a recording of Dream Team 2, but it was not revealed to be a minor injury. Yesung's third solo song from the OST of SBS drama Paradise Ranch, Paradise Ranch, was released on January 31, 2011. "Waiting For You" is a ballad that tells the tale of a man who is adamant about waiting for his lover's return to him until the end of the world. On February 11, he appeared at the Super Junior K.R.Y. The 1st Concert in Seoul was his first appearance.

Yesung temporarily replaced bandmate Eunhyuk on Super Junior's Kiss the Radio, while Eunhyuk was away on promotion for Super Junior's third EP Perfection from February 28 to June 21, 2011. He appeared on KBS' Immortal Songs 2 in June, where singers perform their own interpretations of old songs from music legends and the winners are chosen by voting. He lost in the first episode but won the third episode after singing Boohwal's "The More I Love" by Boohwal.

Jang Hyejin's second duet was revealed on July 14, 2011, according to Korea's digital charts. "I Am Behind You" is from the album Cooperation Part 1's "I Am Behind You." The song has a dazzling unity, and it is mixed with the lyrics of secretly loving someone and wondering if that person could possibly be feeling the same way about them. "For One Day" was launched on July 18, 2011. It's a OST SBS historical drama Warrior Baek Dong Soo. The album is about an emotional farewell from a lover. Yesung performed this live at the K.R.Y Concert in Nanjing on October 6, 2011.

Heechul, a bandmate who was enrolled for mandatory military service on September 27, 2011, was filled in for him along with Eunhyuk and Shindong during the 2011 Summer Bank and Show. "Breakups Are So Like Me," Kim Jang-hoon's new album, "Breakups Are So Like Me." Heechul appeared in the song and appeared in the music video, which was completed the day before he enlisted.

He enlisted on May 6, 2013, causing him not to participate in the South American leg of Super Show 5 onwards.

Yesung joined the ballad club SM the Ballad, which was first established by SM Entertainment in 2010. On the band's second album, he had a solo for the track "Blind," which was released on Korean and Japanese versions by Yesung, but he didn't take part in the promotions.

Super Junior-K.R.Y. I was reunited with Yesung's return from military service Super Junior-K.R.Y. On April 19, 2016, Yesung premiered his first extended play Where I Am. There are seven songs on the album, with the lead single titled "Here I Am." Yesung will debut the single "After Love" from the Casting in the Corner project with Solar in October 2022. It will be a recreation of the 2006 version and will be announced on October 2022.
