Velvet Sky Career

Professional wrestling career

Jason Knight at the House of Pain Pro Wrestling Dojo in New Britain, Connecticut, had a blast training Szantyr. She began competing as a valet and wrestler on the independent circuit after completing her training. Miss Talia, Talia Doll, and Talia Madison were among the ring names she used. With April Hunter, she formed a tag team on the independent circuit.

Talia made her World Xtreme Wrestling (WXW) debut on March 3, 2004, where she defeated Alere Little Feather. After winning a match royal on May 29, 2004, she captured her first championship in professional wrestling, the WXW Women's Championship. Talia continued to defend her title against April Hunter, Cindy Rogers, Psychologie, and Ariel. Talia defeated Becky Bayless in a bra and panties match on September 28, teaming up with Alicia in a winning bid over Cindy Rogers and Mercedes Martinez in a tag team match, and beating Alicia in a thrilling effort. Talia continued her undefeated streak by defending her title against Alere Little Feather, Luscious Rogers, Officer Mercy, Officer Mercy, and Feather and Alicia in a triple threat match. Talia defeated the Moonshiners 3-2 on November 27, Talia's partnering with April Hunter in a dramatic contest that shocked The Moonshiners (Lulu and Trinity H. Campbell). Talia successfully defended her title against Krissy Vaine on December 11, which was a triumph. Talia was teamed up with The Moonshiners (Lulu and Trinity H. Campbell) over Alicia, Cindy Rogers, and Mercedes Martinez in a six-woman tag team competition last week. Talia's winning streak came to an end after she was stunned by Martinez on April 25, 2005. Talia lost the championship to Martinez on July 8 at the WXW Spotsfest event. Talia fought Martinez in a rematch on September 12 at the WXW Tour. Talia lost the WXW's Annual Women's Elite 8 event, this time against Martinez, this time in a triple threat match involving Krissy Vaine.

In 2005 and 2006, Szantyr made just a few appearances in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). She appeared as an extra in the JBL's "Celebration of Excellence" concert on February 24, 2005. She was then defeated by Victoria on July 11 in a match taped for WWE Heat. Since being matched in another Heat segment, she and Trinity were planted in the front row of the audience on January 2, 2006. She also applied for the 2007 Diva Search but did not make the final eight but not qualify. Talia Madison captured the Defiant Pro Wrestling Women's title, which she won on April 8, 2006, after defeating Alere Little Feather and Nikki Roxx in a triple threat match.

She made her MXW Pro Wrestling debut in 2010 and defeated Alere Little Feather at the Brass City Battle later this year. She competed in Women's Extreme Wrestling (WEW), where she spent the majority of her time in tag team matches. She found triumph on WEW's June 6, 2006 pay-per-view, defeating Team Beneal and Lollipop as half of The Simple Girls/The Madison Sisters with her (kayfabe) sister Nikki Madison and as the "T" half of the T&A tag team with April Hunter, defeating Amber O'Neal and Lollipop. She also won the WEW Women's title, defeating Angel Orsini on May 5, 2007.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) announced the formation of their women's division in 2007, Szantyr, using her Talia Madison ring name, was unveiled as one of the first TNA Knockouts Champion in a 10-woman shintlet match to crown the first TNA Knockouts champion at the Bound for Glory pay-per-view. She appeared on TNA Today and the October 11 episode of Impact! on October 5 and the first day of the competition, alongside the other gauntlet match participants. Her ring name was changed to Velvet Sky in the weeks weeks leading up to the gauntlet match.

Sky and Angelina Love formed an alliance and were later dubbed Velvet Love Entertainment, which was later renamed The Beautiful People at the December Turning Point pay-per-view. Love and Sky assisted Gail Kim in her match against Awesome Kong after losing ODB and Roxxi Laveaux early in the game. They helped Kim after another match against Kong on December 6 in Impact!, as well as at the Final Resolution pay-per-view, assisting in the avoidance of a post-match brawl.

Sky and Love's March 13 episode on Impact! attacked Roxxi Laveaux and Gail Kim later that night, making them villainous characters for the first time. Sky and Love were competing in the first female Queen of the Cage game, which was won by Laveaux when she pinned Love inside the cage. Sky and Love were involved in the Makeover Battle Royal-Ladder Match in Sacrifice, which was won by Gail Kim. After defeating their opponents, Sky and Love added another element to their gimmicks, placing brown paper bags over their opponents' heads. Moose joined The Beautiful People shortly after, but she was quickly dropped from the stable and the TNA roster after suffering an injury on the free circuit shortly after. Sky won a Knockouts tournament royal to become the top TNA Knockouts Championship's top contender, but then-champion Taylor Wilde lost the championship match the next week, as well as two more championship matches immediately following.

The Beautiful People began associating with Cute Kip, who has been dubbed their "fashionist." The Beautiful People and Cute Kip were defeated by ODB, Rhaka Khan, and Rhino at Bound for Glory IV. The team welcomed a new member in Madison Rayne in March 2009, while Kip was "fired" from the stable twice during the next month before becoming a road agent for the corporation. When Sky defeated Kong and Wilde to win the TNA Knockouts Championship at Lockdown, she was in Love's corner. Sky was also in Love's corner at Slammiversary, where she helped her beat Tara by spraying hairspray in her eyes. When Deaner pinned Sky in a losing bid, Hard Justice, Sky, and Love shared in a tag match against ODB and Cody Deaner, resulting in Love losing the Knockout Championship to ODB. Madison Rayne was kicked out of The Beautiful People after losing, but the pair has promised revenge in the forthcoming tournament for the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship. The Beautiful People versus Rayne and a mystery partner, who was later revealed to be the returning Roxxi, were the last of the four quarter final matches. Despite this, The Beautiful People won the competition and advanced to the semi-finals.

Love was suspended from her TNA job due to work visa problems after the match was taped.

On the last episode of Impact!

Love and Sky advanced to the finals of the tag team tournament by a small amount of interference from Madison Rayne, taped before her appearance. Rayne then apologized to both Sky and Love and was then welcomed back to the Beautiful People. Sarita and Taylor Wilde defeated Rayne, Sky, and Rayne in the finals of the tournament at No Surrender. Lacey Von Erich, Love's replacement, made her debut on October 1 and joined the Beautiful People. On the January 14, 2010, Love would return to the company, but rather than rejoining the Beautiful People, she attacked them, thereby turning Love Face.

Sky and Rayne defeated the teams of Love and Tara and Taylor Wilde in a three-way match to win the vacant TNA Knockout Tag Team Championship after interference from Daffney on the March 8 episode of Impact! During the Freebird era, the three members of the Beautiful People defended the positions. Sky was one of the four winners of the very first LockBox Showdown Elimination Tag Match on April 5th. Regardless of the stipulation, the box she opened contained a Sky contract to challenge anyone of her choice at any time. Sky then revealed that she would be using her job to face new Knockouts Champion Angelina Love in a Leather and Lace match the following week. The Beautiful People turned the Leather and Lace match into a three-on-one battle at Lockdown, with Sky and Madison Rayne expected to shoot at the Knockout Championship at Lockdown in order to soften Love for the pay-per-view the following Sunday. Rayne and Sky defeated Love and Tara at the pay-per-view, and Rayne became the new Knockouts Champion. On the June 24 episode of Impact, Sky faced Love once more, winning by disqualification after receiving a DDT into a steel chair, just like Von Erich the previous week.

Sky began to show signs of a face-lift in the summer of 2010. Rayne began talking to her and Von Erich, claiming she did not need either of them, and then hired a mystery woman hiding behind a motorcycle helmet to assist her with her feud with Angelina Love. Sky refused to go along with Rayne, the mystery woman and Sarita, after they all finished attacking Love and Taylor Wilde on the July 22 episode of Impact!

When Rayne and the mystery woman's involvement returnedfired on August 5, Impact!, Sky and Von Erich lost the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship to Hamada and Taylor Wilde. Sky recalled her face turn by blaming the mystery woman during Rayne's title match against Angelina Love, causing a distraction that cost Rayne the Knockouts Championship. Sky reunited with Angelina Love on August 19, leading her to the ring and assisting her in defending the Knockouts Championship against Rayne. Sky and Love were defeated by Rayne and the mystery lady after the match.

On the September 2 episode of Impact!, Rayne's enigmatic ally was finally revealed as Tara, when the two of them shocked Sky and Love in their first match in a year. Sky beat Rayne in a singles match at No Surrender. After being rescued by Rayne and Tara on the September 16 episode of Impact!, Lacey Von Erich would join Sky and Love. Von Erich will leave the job two months later on November 11.

Sky became a feud with Sarita in October, where she would win back-to-back pinfall victories over her on October 28 and November 4 episodes of Impact!, first in a six-Knockout tag team tournament and then in a singles match.

On the December 9 episode of Impact!

In the first round of a tournament for the vacant Knockouts Tag Team Championship, Sky and Love defeated Sarita and Daffney, but Sky was unable to pin Sarita. Sarita was beaten by Sky two weeks ago during her and Love's tournament final match. As a result, Winter, who had been following Love for the past months, took Sky's place in the match and partnered with Love to defeat Madison Rayne and Tara in the Knockouts Tag Team Championship. Sarita defeated Sky in a Strap match the following week. Sky brawled with Winter on January 27, claiming she was trying to break up the Beautiful People. On the February 17 episode of Impact, Sarita pinned Sky once more. She teamed with Rosita in a tag team competition. Sky defeated Sarita in a one-on-one match, where she promised to put her career on hold after the match. Sky was finally able to defeat Sarita in a singles match on March 3, preserving her career in the process. Love and Winter were inadvertently cost Love and Winter the Knockouts Tag Team Championship in a match against Sarita and Rosita on March 13. Winter, clearly having influence over Love's behavior, prevented her from saving Sky from a beating at Sarita and Rosita on March 24. Love, the Beautiful People, on the 7.5th episode of Impact!, Love, still under Winter's clout, threw out a Knockout Tag Team Championship match against Sarita and Rosita, leaving her to be pinned by the champions.

Angelina Love defeated Sky by submission in a singles match on April 28; she was no-selling any of her opponents' offenses during the match. On a two-on-three handicap match, Sky pinned Winter in a two-on-three handicap match, where she and Kurt Angle announced her intention of becoming the TNA Knockouts Champion in the process.

Sky defeated Love and Winter in a two-on-one handicap match on May 19, but the returning ODB later claimed she had been barred from TNA because of Sky. On the June 9 episode of Impact Wrestling, Sky and ODB clashed in a singles match, with Sky winning and ODB emerging victorious.

Sky and Ms. Tessmacher failed in their bid to win the TNA Knockout Tag Team Championship from Rosita and Sarita this week due to ODB's interference. Sky was defeated by ODB and her new tag team partner, Jacqueline, later in the day. In a tag team match against Jacqueline and ODB on June 12 episode of Impact Wrestling, Sky and Tessmacher were defeated by Jacqueline and ODB. Sky defeated ODB and Jacquelineline in a two-on-one handicap match on July 7, apparently ending the feud. Both of them were kicked out of TNA as per the match's stipulation. Sky was given a shot at her title on July 21 by Impact Wrestling, Knockouts Champion Mickie James, but Angelina Love and Winter threatened James before the match took place. As Sky attempted to make the saving, she was confronted by returning ODB and Jacqueline, who were then retaliation by the also returning Traci Brooks.

Sky beat former champion Winter, Madison Rayne and Mickie James in a four-way match on October 16, when Traci Brooks replaced original special guest referee Karen Jarrett and counted the deciding pinfall. On the May 17 episode of Impact Wrestling, Sky earned a rematch for the championship, but Kim was disqualified again by Kim in a three-way match, which also included Brooke Tessmacher.

Sky and Mickie James sparked a feud last month, with James slowly becoming villainous due to her jealousy of Sky. However, after weeks of inactivity on July 24, several wrestling websites announced that Szantyr was close to leaving TNA after struggling to agree on a new deal. Szantyr revealed her departure from TNA two days later, but the company's website still lists her as an active participant of the roster.

Sky defeated Madison Rayne in their return match the following week. Sky defeated Gail Kim last year in a five-woman gauntlet match on January 13, 2013 to become the top contender for the Knockouts Championship. Sky regained her position as the best opponent in the following episode of Impact Wrestling, defeating Kim in a rematch that reaffirmed her status as the top contender. After Tara's boyfriend Jessie intervened on her behalf, Sky unsuccessfully challenged Tara for the championship the following week. After Sky pinned Tara, Sky teamed up with James Storm and defeated Tara and Jessie in a mixed tag team match on January 31.

On the February 27 episode of Impact Wrestling, Rayne and Sky will face Sky and Alpha Female, where Rayne and Sky will be defeated by Female and Tapa. Sky unintentionally participated in a street brawl against Rayne on April 17 episodes of Impact Wrestling. After Kim announced a challenge for any of The Beautiful People to wrestle her, Kim defeated Sky on May 15 episode of Impact Wrestling. Love launched an open challenge to her Knockouts Championship the following week, which was accepted by Brittany, who was unsuccessful in her attempt. The Beautiful People humiliated Brittany by smearing lipstick on her face and holding a paper bag over her head, resulting in Kim coming to Brittany and attacking Sky and Love. Love will then assist Love in many title defenses against Rayne, Kim, and Brittany. The Beautiful People interrupted Taryn Terrell's return to action, resulting in a tag team match on June 26 on Impact Wrestling, where Sky and Love lost to Terrell and Gail Kim. Despite Sky's interference, Love lost the Knockouts Championship to Kim on the June 26 episode of Impact Wrestling. The Beautiful People would miss a championship match between Kim and Terrell on July 24 episode of Impact Wrestling, which culminated in Sky losing the title in a four-way match involving Love and Terrell on August 14 episode of Impact Wrestling. Love and Sky formed an association with The BroMans (Robbie E and Jessie Godderz), during this period. Sky grabbed a briefcase for Robbie E on the Feast or Fired match on January 23, and because Sky had confiscated it, she was forced by Robbie to open it, revealing a "fired" slip. It was later revealed that Sky's deal had legitimately ended, and TNA had refused to renew it.

Sky returned to TNA on May 8, bringing her right back to TNA and ending her relationship with The Beautiful People. On the May 29, 2015 episode of Impact Wrestling, Love brought out her own personal security team and triggered Sky; Sky jumped the barricade and assaulted Love, but Love's security team took the arena down, but Love's security team was escorted to Love.
