Michelle McCool Life

Michelle Leigh Calaway (née McCool, 1980) is an American retired professional wrestler.

She is best known for her time with WWE, where she is a former WWE Divas Champion and a two-time WWE Women's Champion. McCool started working as a middle school coach in Palatka, Florida.

After participating in the WWE Diva Search in 2004, she joined WWE in 2004.

She developed the voice of a personal trainer in her first on-screen appearances before transforming it to that of a teacher.

McCool became the inaugural WWE Divas Champion at The Great American Bash in 2008, with the title spanning just over five months.

She then defeated The Bash in 2009, becoming the first female wrestler to hold both titles.

In 2010, she unveiled both titles, becoming the first and only WWE Unified Divas Champion.

McCool claimed both titles on two occasions, making her the overall champion.

She was ranked number one in Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Female 50 in November 2010, and she resigned the following year.

Early life

Both of McCool's parents work in education; Jenny, a teacher, and Terry, her father, Terry, is a superintendent. She has an older brother who played football at the University of Cincinnati. McCool, a boy who went as far as knowing how to do Ric Flair's signature move, the figure-four leglock, by age seven. McCool played softball, basketball, and volleyball before and during high school. She has also played first base at Pasco-Hernando State College. McCool earned her Master's Degree in Educational leadership from Florida State University and taught seventh grade science for four years in Palatka, Florida. She competed in national Physique Committee fitness competitions, taught gymnastics and kickboxing, and served as a personal trainer.

Personal life

McCool married Jeremy Louis Alexander, whom she first met in high school. In 2006, the couple wed in divorce. On June 26, 2010, she married fellow wrestler Mark Calaway, also known as The Undertaker, in Houston, Texas. Kaia, their first child together, was born in August 2012. Kolt, the boy's younger brother, is in charge of the maintenance of their house.

McCool is a devout Christian, and she used Christian crosses on her wrestling attire.

She has suffered with several wrestling injuries; during a worldwide WWE tour in November 2007, she broke her nose when Victoria's clothesline hit her in the chest. She has been hospitalized twice, suffered two broken ribs, a ruptured sternum, and a broken xiphoid process. She eventually decided to remove from active wrestling and thus ended her WWE career and ended her active career, suffering a fractured toe, torn joint capsules, and a torn MCL. She was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2016 and underwent successful treatment. She had struggled with infertility and had suffered with several miscarriages in April 2019.
