She is the daughter of Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka's second generation professional wrestler.

Personal life

Snuka is of Samoan and Fijian descent. She is the second daughter of late WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka's second wife, Sharon Snuka. Liana, her older sister, and Ata, her younger maternal half-sister. Snuka has two children. Jimmy Snuka's father, Jimmy Snuka, was reported to be in hospice with a terminal illness on December 2, 2016. He died in Pompano Beach, Florida, on January 15, 2017.

Professional wrestling career

Snuka first became involved in professional wrestling after being given the first Lia Maivia Scholarship to study at the Wild Samoan Training Center in Minneola, Florida.

On the May 24, 2010, episode of Raw, Snuka premiered as a villain under the ring name Tamina, alongside Jimmy and Jey Uso, in a match against the Unified Tag Team Champions, The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd, and Natalya). The Hart Dynasty appeared in the "wrong place at the wrong time" last week, before the trio began wrangling with the trio. The Hart Dynasty defeated Tamina and the Usos in a six-person mixed tag team match on June 20 at Fatal 4-Way, after Natalya pinned Tamina. Tamina made her debut against Natalya on June 21 on Raw, but the match was a no contest after The Nexus interrupted the match. On the 28th episode of Raw, Tamina and The Usos, they were supposed to face The Hart Dynasty in another six-person mixed tag team match, but Tamina dismanaged them at the door, resulting in Tamina throwing Natalya in the ring and executing the Superfly Splash on her. Tamina and The Usos gained their first match on Raw's July 12 by defeating The Hart Dynasty in a six-person mixed tag team match. Tamina joined The Usos to a tag team match against the Hart Dynasty, which the Usos lost to at Money in the Bank. On the 26th episode of Raw, Tamina, Thomas Uso and Jimmy Uso joined Jey Uso in a singles match against Randy Orton, but Jey was unsuccessful in defeating Orton.

Tamina began flirting with Santino Marella on August 9th, hinting at a face turn. Tamina joined the Usos in a tag team match against Marella and Vladimir Kozlov two weeks later, but Tamina didn't see the Usos attack Marella and Vladimir Kozlov for two weeks, but Tamina let them escape and blew a kiss as she left the competition. Tamina competed in a Divas tournament royal on September 27 to determine the number one contender to the WWE Divas Championship, which was ultimately won by Natalya. Tamina joined Santino Marella after his triumph over Zack Ryder and celebrated with him on the October 11 episode of Raw. Tamina and Alicia Fox and Maryse were partnered in a "Diva Cup Match" on November 8 in a losing effort to Eve Torres and The Bella Twins just a few weeks later. Tamina accompanied The Usos to a number one contender's tag team match against Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov in a losing effort on the November 15 episode of Raw. On the November 22 episode of Raw, Tamina serenaded and kissed Marella as she returnedstage with Marella and Kozlov. Tamina had partnered with Alicia Fox and Maryse in a six-Diva tag team match against Natalya, Gail Kim, and Melina two weeks later, but she was distracted by Marella serenading her, and she left the ring with him two weeks later.

Tamina launched an on-screen relationship with Marella, beginning with accompanying him and his partner Vladimir Kozlov in a three-team elimination tag team match against The Nexus (Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater) and The Usos in a winning bid, with Tamina gaining the team's new valet, officially becoming the team's valet. Tamina and Marella competed in a mixed tag team match on December 20 in a thrilling battle against Maryse and Ted DiBiase Jr. On the last week, Raw, Snuka accompanied Marella to a victory over Ted DiBiase. Tamina made her SmackDown debut as a villain on May 27 episode of SmackDown, teaming with Alicia Fox to overthrowrown the team of AJ and Kaitlyn, who were accompanied by their mentor Natalya. Tamina and Fox defeated AJ and Kaitlyn on SmackDown, defeating AJ and Kaitlyn a week later, with Tamina pinning AJ. Tamina competed in a six-Diva tag team match with Alicia Fox and Rosa Mendes on a losing battle between AJ, Kaitlyn, and Natalya on June 23 in a losing effort to AJ, Kaitlyn, and Natalya. Tamina debuted on the fifth season of NXT, defusing Kaitlyn on October 26. Tamina will lose again in a rematch against Kaitlyn on November 2nd episode of NXT Redemption. Tamina would then begin an on-screen relationship with JTG, becoming his valet. In a losing bid against Jimmy Uso, she accompanied him on the NXT Redemption episode on November 9 episode.

Tamina appeared on SmackDown's December 30 episode, partnering with Natalyn and Alicia Fox in a losing effort to Kaitlyn and Alicia Fox and then attacking Natalya, changing face in the process and starting a feud between the two families. Tamina will defeat Natalya in singles competition over the next two weeks on SmackDown. Tamina saved Alicia Fox from an assault by WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix on February 10 episode of SmackDown. Tamina and Beth will star gazes for the rest of their lives, resulting in Snuka losing to Phoenix for her firstborn. Tamina Snuka, now billed as Tamina Snuka, earned her title shot at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on February 19, but Phoenix defeated her. Snuka and Kaitlyn defeated Maxine and Natalya's team on April 25 of NXT Redemption. Snuka defeated Natalya on June 6th episode of NXT Redemption. Snuka collaborated with Kaitlyn and Layla at Money In The Bank's pay-per-view, defeating Beth Phoenix, Natalya, and Eve Torres' team. Snuka appeared on the rebranded NXT three days later, where she defeated Kaitlyn. Snuka appeared in a number one contender's duel on August 20 but was disqualified in the final battle. Snuka sustained a legitimate back injury during the game as well.

Snuka recovered from injury on November 18 at the Survivor Series pay-per-view as a heel, breaking a segment between AJ Lee and Vickie Guerrero by attacking AJ from behind, disrupting a segment between AJ Lee and Vickie Guerrero. On the November 26 episode of Raw, Snuka made her in-ring appearance defeating Alicia Fox. Raw, Snuka's episode on January 28, 2013 featured Divas Champion Kaitlyn in a non-title lumberjill match, but the match ended in a no-contest after the lumberjills interfered. Snuka unsuccessfully challenged Kaitlyn for the Divas Championship on February 17 at Elimination Chamber. Snuka was defeated by Paige in the first round of the NXT Women's Championship tournament on June 5th, crowned the inaugural champion.

Snuka's bodyguard was back to WWE action in late September 2013, taking over the role of Divas Champion AJ Lee's bodyguard. Snuka helped AJ save her Divas Championship at Battleground by versus Nikki Bella, a challenger. After Snuka interfered and assaulted Natalya, AJ retained her title against Natalya on the November 13 episode of The Grand Event. On the November 15 episode of SmackDown, which Snuka lost, there was a match between Snuka and Natalya. AJ volunteered to lead a team at Survivor Series in a seven-on-seven elimination tag team match against Total Divas, in which Snuka was the penultimate eliminated (courtesy of Natalya), where she defeated The Funkadactyls (Cameron and Naomi) before being pinched and disqualified by JoJo.

Snuka mistakenly superkicked AJ in her title match against Cameron on February 23, 2014, resulting in a disqualification when Cameron nearly won the match. This brought tension between the two teams, which culminated in back-to-back losses in tag team competition, which culminated in Snuka's throwing AJ to the ground. Snuka made her WrestleMania debut on April 6, taking part in the WWE Divas Championship's 14-Diva "Vickie Guerrero Invitational match" at WrestleMania XXX, which was won by the defending champion AJ Lee. Snuka defeated a battle royal to become the top contender in Paige's Divas Championship after AJ lost her Divas Championship to Paige on Raw and was later granted time off from WWE. On May 4, Snuka met Paige for the title, but they failed to win.

Snuka, billed simply as Tamina again on June 4, 2014, allying herself with Naomi as the two attacked The Bella Twins, eleven months after having undergone surgery following a torn ACL tear on June 4, 2014. Tamina made her return to action on the May 11 episode of Raw, where she faces Brie Bella and Naomi is in her corner. In a tag team match at Payback, Tamina and Naomi defeated the Bella Twins. Tamina interfered in Naomi's Divas Championship match against Nikki Bella on Raw, resulting in a disqualification. Paige recovered from injury and assaulted Tamina, Naomi, and Nikki after the match. Tamina struggled to capture the Divas Championship from Nikki Bella in a triple threat match that also included Paige at The Beast in the East on July 4th.

After weeks of being outnumbered by Team Bella and Alicia Fox, Stephanie McMahon called for a "revolution" in the Divas division and introduced debuting NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks as a ally to Tamina and Naomi on July 13 episode of Raw. Charlotte and Becky Lynch will then debut and ally with Paige, resulting in a brawl between the three teams. Tamina, Naomi, and Banks were later identified as Team B.A.D. (Beautiful and Dangerous) A triple threat match took place at Battleground, with Banks from Team B.A.D. facing Charlotte of PCB and Brie Bella for Team Bella in a losing effort, while Charlotte took the victory. The three teams will face each other in a three-team elimination tournament at SummerSlam, where Team B.A.D. will face Team B.A.D. Tamina was pinned by Brie, and the PCB would win the game, as the first team to be eliminated thanks to Team Bella.

After the former announced her departure from team B.A.D., Tamina and Naomi attacked Banks on February 1, 2016.D. The feud between Tamina and Naomi and Banks will continue throughout February, and it will result in a tag team match at Fastlane, where Tamina and Naomi lost to Banks and her partner Becky Lynch. Tamina and Naomi allied with Lana, Emma, and Summer Rae in late March, resulting in a 10-Diva tag team match on the WrestleMania 32 pre-show, which Tamina's team lost. Tamina underwent knee surgery in early May to repair torn ligaments, while Naomi Duffa suffered in May 5 after a torn ankle tendon, thus disbanding the team. Tamina was cleared for in-ring competition after she was undrafted in the 2016 WWE draft due to her injury.

Snuka made her in-ring return in a tag-team match at a SmackDown live event on February 18, 2017, where she and Natalya defeated Alexa Bliss and Carmella. On the April 11 episode of SmackDown Live, where she was introduced as a member of the SmackDown brand as part of the "Megastar Shake Up" series. Tamina appeared on SmackDown's April 25 episode alongside Natalya and Carmella in a championship match between Charlotte Flair and Naomi. Tamina took part in a six-woman tag team competition with Carmella and Natalya on May 21 at Backlash, where the three teams emerged victorious over Flair, Naomi, and Becky Lynch. Snuka participated in the inaugural women's Money in the Bank ladder match, which was won by Carmella due to James Ellsworth's interference. Carmella was removed from the briefcase by SmackDown's general manager, Daniel Bryan, on June 20, when Tamina falterreted again and Carmella was victorious.

Tamina comforted Lana after her title defeat on July 4th in Smackdown, hinting at a match between the two teams. Lana later became her boss. Snuka was unsuccessfully competing in a five-way elimination match on July 23 to determine the top contender for the SmackDown Women's Championship after being disqualified by Becky Lynch. Snuka appeared in a thrilling four-way match against Becky Lynch, Naomi, and the returning Charlotte Flair on September 19's SmackDown Women's Championship. Tamina, a ten-woman elimination tag team match against Team SmackDown on November 19 in a ten-woman elimination tag team match against Team Raw, losing the game but claiming victory over Bayley, on November 19 at Survivor Series. Tamina debuted at number seven in the first women's Royal Rumble match, in which she was disqualified by Lita. Tamina would go on hiatus shortly after due to a torn rotator cuff and underwent a fruitful surgery. Lana's involvement came to an end.

Tamina made a surprising return to work as a heel on the October 15, 2018, episode of Raw. She teamed with Dana Brooke in her first match since being a teenager against Ember Moon and Nia Jax. Tamina will be included in WWE Evolution's women's battle royal set during the match. Tamina was one of the final competitors left at the festival, but she was disqualified by Moon. After several clashes between the two countries, Tamina began an alliance with Nia Jax shortly after her return. Tamina won her first singles match on Raw on November 12 after defeating Ember Moon. Tamina defeated Naomi before being eliminated by Carmella at Survivor Series. Tamina and Nia Jax won over Bayley and Sasha Banks on November 19 on Raw, and Ronda Rousey confronted Ronda Rousey later that night.

Tamina will compete in the Women's Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble on January 27, 2019, defeating Mickie James and being eliminated by Charlotte Flair before being defeated by Charlotte Flair. Tamina and Jax will compete in an elimination chamber match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, but Bayley, Sasha Banks, Sonya Deville, and Mandy Rose defeated them. Tamina defeated Sasha Banks after a miscommunication from Jax on the last show of Raw before Fastlane. Tamina and Jax failed to challenge Banks and Bayley for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship on March 10, at Fastlane. Tamina and Jax continued to criticize Banks, Bayley, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix, who was doing commentary, and Natalya. Tamina and Jax will face The Boss 'n' Hug Connection (Bayley and Banks), The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) and The Divas of Doom (Phoenix and Natalya) on March 25 of Rawling's WrestleMania 35 against current champions The Boss 'n' Hug Connection (Bayley and Banks), announcing the WWE Women's When Kay pinned Bayley, Tamina and Jax were dissatisfied. After Jax underwent knee surgery, Tamina and Jax will no longer appear on Raw.

Tamina returned to Hell in a Cell after being injured at a live event in July, defeating Carmella in the first championship of her wrestling career. R-Truth defeated her in the championship later in the night. Tamina was drafted to SmackDown as part of the 2019 draft.

Tamina competed in the women's Royal Rumble event on January 26, 2020, enduring less than a minute before being disqualified by Bianca Belair. Tamina was confirmed as a participant in a Fatal 5-Way elimination match against Bayley's SmackDown Women's Championship at WrestleMania 36 on March 20. Tamina was the first woman to be disqualified at WrestleMania 36 after four other competitors pinned her at once. On the 10th episode of SmackDown, Tamina demanded a title match against Bayley, which Bayley accepted if Tamina could overthrowrown Sasha Banks the following week, turning her face in the process. Tamina was unable to win the Money in the Bank competition at the Money in the Bank event. Tamina featured in a triple brand duel at SummerSlam, which was won by Asuka. Tamina competed in another royal fight on Sunday to gain a match for the Raw Women's Championship, which Lana won.

Tamina was back to square one in January 2021 as she formed a partnership with Natalya while "putting the women's tag team difference on notice." Tamina took part in the women's Royal Rumble match on January 31, 2021, but Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler disqualified her. Tamina and Natalya won a tag team tumultuous match on Friday night to qualify for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, but the following night, they were disqualified. The two boys will keep feuding with Jax and Baszler, defeating them on the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship in May 14 after they lost to Rhea Ripley and Nikki Cross on May 14. Both women participated in the Bank ladder match at Money in the Bank, but the Women's Money case was not successful as it was won by Nikki A.S.H.

Tamina was introduced to the Raw brand as part of the 2021 Draft, but Natalya stayed on the SmackDown brand, putting the brand's staff on the break.

Tamina failed to win the WWE 24/7 Championship from Dana Brooke on January 3 in a mixed tag team match that also involved Reggie and Akira Tozawa. Tamina, Tozawa, and R-truth all spent months trying to win the title from Reggie and later Dana Brooke in various backstage segments. Tamina would win the title on the 18th edition of Raw, but she would lose it to her partner, Tozawa after. She filed for divorce later this month, after him being unable to help her win the title.

The two teams joined together after being involved in a slew of feuds with Dana Brooke for the WWE 24/7 Championship. A tag team competition was announced on August 5 of Smackdown to crown new champions. On the August 8 episode of Raw, Tamina and Brooke were announced as a team. In the first round against Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai, Tamina Brooke and Dana Brooke lost. Tamina and Dana Brooke will compete in a Second Chance Fatal Four Way tournament against Natalya and Sonya Deville on August 22 of Raw, due to an injury sustained by Gigi Dolin after she and Jacy Jayne won round 1 against Natalya and Sonya Deville.
