Skye Edwards (born Shirley Klaris Yonavie Edwards; 27 May 1974), also known as Skye, is a British singer-songwriter.
She and the Godfrey brothers (Paul Godfrey, a DJ, and Ross Godfrey, a multi-instrumentalist), formed Morcheeba, which released five albums as lead vocalists in 1994.
The band disbanded in 2003, and keeping secrets in 2009 followed Skye's two solo albums: Mind How You Go in 2006 and Keeping Secrets.
Edwards returned to Morcheeba in 2010 as the lead vocalist.
Back to Now, her third solo album, was released in 2012.
In 2015, she released In A Low Light, her fourth solo album. Edwards decided to shorten her name to Skye by taking the first letter of each of her names and gluing them together.
She is married to bass player Steve Gordon and the four children are together.

Early life
Edwards was born in London and grew up in the East End. She was raised by ethnic English parents from an early age. "I always say it was fish and chips, not rice and peas in our household," she said. Her first musical influences were her mother's country and western albums.
Solo music career
Mind How You Go, Patrick Leonard's first solo album, was released in Europe on February 27, 2006. "Love Show" was Europe's first single. "What's Wrong With Me" was the next single on the list. Both songs were included in music videos. "People ask what this record means to me," she says, but it's an odd question because I've been living and breathing it." Edwards' second album, Keeping Secrets, was released in October 2009 under her own name Skyewards Recordings. Ivor Guest, a Smith and Emmy nominated Grace Jones collaborator, was born in New York. "I Believe" was released as a single as well as a music video, and she ended up on a tour of several weeks around Europe.
This album was released on October 29, 2012 and was produced by Steve Fitzmaurice, an Irish record producer who also produced Depeche Mode and U2 among others.
