Melly Goeslaw Life

Melliana Cessy Goes law (born 7 January 1974), better known by her stage name Melly Goes law, is an Indonesian singer, songwriter, composer, and music performer.

She began performing in the fifth grade, wrote songs, and began performing as a back vocalist for Elfa Secioria in high school.

She and her family were moved to Jakarta to further her education, which culminated in her career's advancement.

She met Anto Hoed and Andi Ayunir while supporting vocals on a Katon Bagaskara promotional tour.

The three of them formed the band Potret in 1993 after marrying Hoed.

Her debut album in 1995 was well-received, bringing Goes law and her bandmates to fame.

Goes law attempted to launch her solo career after releasing her self-titled debut album Melly in 1999 after releasing multiple albums with Potret.

Although Melly's album sales well, she became more well-known as a solo artist after supplying the soundtrack for the 2002 hit film Ada Apa dengan Cinta? Her husband and I are together.

Solo albums and soundtracks have followed her sincere debuts.

She published a collection of short stories in 2005 to commemorate her tenth anniversary as a well-known musician; four years later, she conducted a concert to celebrate Bandung's bicentennial.

She has written over 500 songs as of 2011. The onstage presence of Goes has been compared to Björk's with "eccentric" costumes, heavy make-up, and "wild" hair colors, according to the government.

The Jakarta Post has characterized her early songs as "deliberately antagonistic," with differing topics such as materialism, sadness, and violence against women.

Two of her songs, "Salah," and "Bunda," were selected by Rolling Stone Indonesia as some of the best Indonesian songs of all time, and her partnership with Ada Apa dengan Cinta was selected by Rolling Stone Indonesia as two of the best Indonesian songs of all time. At the 2004 Indonesian Film Festival, she and her husband were given the Citra Award.

However, Rolling Stone notes that after Ada Apa's dengan Cinta?

According to The Jakarta Post, Goes law is one of Indonesia's most in-demand after movie songwriters.

Early life

Goes law was introduced in Bandung on January 7th, 1974. Melky Goes law, a guitarist and songwriter, and his partner, Ersi Sukaesih, are the daughter of a child. Goeslaw was raised by her mother after her parents' divorce; her sister Yuli, who now works as her boss, was born from a second marriage. She loved writing poetry when she was in elementary school, and later described herself as "happiest when doodling on paper and writing [her] poetry." She began singing after being told by her mother, who was convinced that Goes law could perform like her father; she didn't want to be a singer.

She later switched to songwriting when she was in high school, writing lyrics on her napkins, schoolbooks, and recording her humming on a Walkman because she could not play any instruments. She served as a back vocalist for Elfa Secioria during high school. Her family later moved to Jakarta to advance her singing career, and she was asked to act as a backing singer for three different pop singers. She was in three separate studios every day at one point. She was compelled to keep singing because of the funds she earned.

Personal life

Goes law was a devout Muslim from childhood and married guitarist Anto Hoed. They have two children, Anakku Lelaki "Ale" Hoed and Pria Bernama "Abe" Hoed (literally My Son Hoed and Man Named Hoed). In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, playing with her children, and internet surfing; she has said that shopping has become more enjoyable as a result of being constantly recognised. She has said that she prefers being backstage over performing shows rather than performing them, because she does not have to wear make-up or rehearse.
