Music career

Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell, and Victoria Adams responded to an advertisement in The Stage in 1994. Around 400 women who answered the call went to Dance Works studios. Halliwell, Chisholm, Adams, and Brown were among the original members of the group, as well as Michelle Stephenson, who was later promoted to Abigail Kis, which later became Bunton. The organization was uncomfortable about the absence of a job and was dissatisfied with the company's strategic direction in which Heart Management was leading them.

The group formed touring management companies in October 1994, armed with a database of demos and dance routines. In December 1994 at the Nomis Studios in Shepherd's Bush, they convinced Bob Herbert to stage a showcase performance for the group in front of industry writers, producers, and A&R men. The Herberts jumped right into establishing a binding deal for the company due to the group's high interest. Both five members postponed signing contracts until receiving legal guidance from Adams' father Anthony Adams, among others. They parted with Heart Management in March 1995 after the organization's inability to pay attention to their visions and suggestions.

19 Entertainment's Simon Fuller came to the group, and in March 1995, they signed him. Fuller performed on tour labels in London and Los Angeles during the summer of that year and then signed a contract with Virgin Records in September 1995. The group remained prolific on the west coast of the United States from this point to the summer of 1996, where they had signed a publishing contract with Windswept Pacific. The Spice Girls debuted their debut single "Wannabe" in the United Kingdom on July 8, 1996. The trial for "Wannabe" on the Box music channel appeared in the weeks leading up to the launch. "Wannabe" was a huge success on the UK Singles Chart for seven weeks and later in 34 countries, including Australia, Denmark, France, Germany, and the United States. And now is the all-female single in the country's top-seller single. It was followed by nine more number-one singles from their albums Spice, Spiceworld, and Forever. Any member of the organisation was given a nickname by the media. Bunton was nicknamed "Baby Spice" by the author.

"Say You'll Be There", "2 Become 1," "Who Do You Think You Are" and "Mama" from Spice, and "Spice Up Your Life" and "Viva Forever" from Spice include several other hit launches. Emma on VH1 in 1999 appeared. "Hey You" Free Up Your Mind" from the film Pokémon: The First Movie, Melanie B's "Sophisticated Lady" appeared as a B-side to her single "Word Up" and appeared as a B-side. In November 1999, she released her debut solo single, a cover of What I Am in collaboration with Tin Tin Out. The Spice Girls stopped recording in 2000, after the group's comeback single, a double A-side of "Let Love Lead The Way" and the third studio album, Forever, debuted at number two in the United Kingdom, and they were concentrating on their solo careers in relation to their foreseeable future. Melanie B's album track, "Hotter," appeared on Melanie B's debut solo studio album Hot in October 2000, she also sang background for the latter's debut solo studio album Hot.

By Virgin Records, Bunton's debut solo album, A Girl Like Me, was released in the United Kingdom on April 16th. With 21,500 copies sold in its first week, the album debuted and peaked at number four on the UK Albums Chart, with 21,500 copies selling in its first week.

Its lead single, "What Took You So Long?

"On the UK Singles Chart, we debuted at number one." Despite initial success, A Girl Like Me fell off the charts quickly. However, the top five single "Take My Breath Away" and the top twenty "We're Not Gonna Sleep Tonight" helped the album remain on the UK Albums Chart for several weeks. A Girl Like Me was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) on September 7, 2001, the country's 147th best-selling album on September 7, 2001. In the United Kingdom, the album has sold 125,000 copies. Bunton resigned from Virgin in 2002 after a string of poor sales. Bunton attended a party at the Palace on June 3rd, 2002 in honor of Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee. Her solo appearances at the festival were a recap of The Supremes' 1964 hit "Baby Love" and her own "What Took You So Long?" "I'm a big fan of the film "Hada" says the author.

Bunton, the former Spice Girls' boss Simon Fuller's, has signed a new contract with 19 Recordings, a tribute to her second album, Free Me, on February 9, 2004. Mike Peden and Yak Bondy produced the album largely. Luis Fonsi, Cathy Dennis, Henry Binns, and others have contributed to the album. Critics adored the album's "charm and grace" who was influenced by the Motown and 1960s styles. It debuted on the UK Albums Chart, spending more than twelve weeks inside the chart and being designated gold by the British Phonographic Institute (BPI). The album had three top-five hits in the United Kingdom – "Maybe" and "I'll Be There" – as well as a top-ten single "Crickets Sing for Anamaria." Both "Free Me" and "Maybe" dance club regulars in the United States, with numbers four and six on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart respectively, respectively. Bunton appeared in the Bollywood film Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets in 2005.

Bunton, a contestant on BBC show Strictly Come Dancing, was partnered with Darren Bennett in October 2006. She made it to the semi-finals and finished in third place. Bunton released the charity single for the BBC Children in Need appeal on Friday, as well as Petula Clark's 1960s hit "Downtown." It reached number three on the UK Singles Chart, and Life in Mono followed her third studio album. Life in Mono, much like her previous album, played with 1960s pop music. The musical arrangement for this particular album was more reminiscent of 1960s French pop music, with some elements of British 1960s pop and Motown. Bunton's first album not to make it to the top ten in the United Kingdom was the album, which only ranked at number 65 on the charts. "All I Need to Know" was its second single, and it was scheduled for Valentine's Day on February 12, 2007. In the week before Christmas 2006, Bunton shot the video around Old Street in East London. "All I Need to Know" became Bunton's lowest-charting single, debuting on the UK Singles Chart at number 60.

The Spice Girls re-grouped and announced plans to tour as a quintet for the last time for a The Return of the Spice Girls, a slew of the Spice Girls, from which they were reported to have earned £10 million per year (approximately $20 million). The team's members expressed delight in doing their "own thing." The group decided to debut their first compilation album, a compilation of their Greatest Hits. The album was released in early November 2007, and the tour started on 2 December 2007. During the revolution The film maker Bob Smeaton produced a official film of the tour titled Spice Girls: Giving You Everything. The Spice Girls were hired to appear in Tesco advertisements, for which they were paid £1 million per person, as well as their sell-out tour.

Judy Craymer formed Viva Forever, a Spice Girls and Simon Fuller team, and began to produce Viva Forever, a Spice Girls musical. Although the girls were not on the show itself, they were to influence the show's cast and production choices in a story that utilizes their music but has no connection to their personal tale; similar to that of ABBA's music in Mamma Mia! The five Spice Girls were on hand at a press conference in London on June 26 to promote the launch of Viva Forever: The Musical. The press conference was held at the Renaissance London Hotel in St. Pancras, where the Spice Girls filmed the music video for their breakthrough hit "Wannabe" 16 years ago, to the day. On December 11, 2012, the musical premiere at the Piccadilly Theatre in the West End opened. The show's last appearance on June 29th 2013 follows poor critiques from critics and "a loss of £5 million." Bunton and the Spice Girls performed a medley of "Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life" at the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony on August 12, 2012, reuniting as a quintet for the final time for the event.

With over 116,000 tweets per minute on Twitter, they had the most tweeted moment of the Olympics closing ceremony. Bunton partnered with Melanie C on her 2012 album "I Know Him So Well" and worked with her fellow Spice Girl Melanie C on her 2012 album, Stages. On November 11, 2012, the album was released as a single. Bunton was named the year's most popular celebrity in March 2013. Bunton and Melanie C. Clement were involved in recording England's 2014 World Cup song in March 2014. On "Greatest Day," a track performed by British band Take That, she collaborated with fellow pop stars Eliza Doolittle, Katy B. Conor Maynard, Kimberley Walsh, and Pixie Lott. Gary Barlow produced the track and recorded it at Sarm Studios in London. Backing vocals were also included on the track, including Gary Lineker, Michael Owen, Geoff Hurst, David Seaman, Peter Shilton, Glenn Hoddle, and Dion Dublin.

During an interview with This Morning, Bunton announced that she was back in the studio working on new material more than a decade after her last album, Life in Mono, which was released in June 2018. "I'm back in the studio, and I'm here for the first time," Bunton told host Phillip Schofield, "I'm having fun with some of my own music just to see." Bunton announced in November 2018 that she had signed a new contract with BMG Rights Management and was recording a new one.

In September 2018, she portrays Mama Bear in the UK version of the hit animated film Smallfoot, starring Channing Tatum, James Corden, LeBron James, and Danny DeVito. The film is a hit, grossing $83.2 million in the United States and Canada and $130.9 million in other countries, out of $130.9 million in other territories, for a total worldwide gross of $214.1 million.
