Nathaniel Warren Seth "Nat" Motte (born January 13, 1984) is an American recording artist, record producer, and film composer from Boulder, Colorado.
He is a member of Sean Foreman's electropop duo 3OH!
Life and career
Dr. Warren Motte, a respected professor of French Literature at the University of Colorado at Boulder, was born to a French mother and an American father. He has one brother.
Motte attended Foothills Elementary, Casey Middle School, Boulder High School, and the University of Colorado at Boulder. He earned a bachelor's degree in environmental, population, and organismic biology in 2006. Motte was accepted to medical school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center the following year.
Motte took piano lessons at a young age and began to play guitar at home with his brother and father. At age 18, he began DJing in Boulder's local bars and clubs. He began making music right away while attending the University of Colorado, using applications like Acid and Reason to make songs at home. He now uses primarily Logic Pro as his production system, though he still works in other departments.
Motte co-writes and produces all of 3OH!3's songs, using both analog and virtual production equipment. He musically directs 3OH!3's live performance. Shape Shifters and Jeffree Stars wrote and produced songs. In 2009, he co-produced and co-wrote the Lil Jon's "Hey" song. In 2011, Awol One and Fake Four Inc. produced a joint album The Child Star. In 2012, he co-wrote and co-produced the song "Love Somebody" for Maroon 5.
Motte wrote "Reenegades" for iSH in 2014. He was also a writer/producer for Prince Caspian's singles "Jealous" and "Twenty Something" from his album "Pop Songs."
Motte also creates for film, television, and video games in addition to co-writing and directing. In 2007, he directed "Uberts" (a French Film).

Motte revealed on Instagram on July 11, 2016 that he had proposed to his longtime girlfriend, TV host Liz Trinnear, on July 7, 2016. They married on Flagstaff Peak in Boulder, Colorado, a year later.
