She was a member of girl group Jewelry and appeared on the reality show We Got Married with Crown J. Seo formed IY Company, Seo's own private entertainment business, in May 2012.

Elly Is So Hot, Seo In-young's first solo album, was released on February 26, 2007. Despite being identified as the'sex dancer' of Jewelry,' she said she wanted to move away from her glamorous dance image and into a more subtle, sophisticated, and sensual entertainer. "I Want You" (""), the album's first single, was written, produced, and produced by Jung Yeon-joon of Uptown.
