Life and career
Justs was born in ekava on February 6, 1995. He attended the Riga State Gymnasium No. 1. He began his musical career as a street musician in Riga.
Justs was named as one of the 20 competing acts in the second season of Supernova on January 31, 2016. The competition was used to choose Latvia's representative to the Eurovision Song Contest. He was playing with the song "Heartbeat," written by Latvian entrant Aminata Savadogo. Sirmais reached the semi-finals in the first heat on February 7 after winning over 60% of the televote. On the 21th of February, he qualified in the semi-finals and advanced to the final by televoting. He won the national final and then represented Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden, on February 28th. He made it to the semi-finals and finished 15th in the final. In January 2018, it was revealed that he would co-coordinate Supernova 2018. Justs' debut studio album, Here I Am, was released in April 2018.
