Joey Yung (born 16 June 1980) is a Hong Kong singer and actress who has joined Emperor Entertainment Group.

Yung has received numerous accolades, including the coveted JSG 'Most Popular Female Singer' and 'Ultimate Best Female Singer – Gold' awards, bringing her to a new position as one of the best Cantonese singers of all time.

She debuted 63nd on the Forbes China Celebrity 100 in 2014, making her the most influential Hong Kong-based female singer of the year.

She is said to have earned HK$80 million (US$10.3 million) in 2014.

Personal life

Wilfred Lau publicly announced their relationship in June 2012, which Yung later confirmed. In 2018, they broke up.

She has openly expressed a pro-establishment stance during the 2019-2020 Hong Kong Protests and was prominently featured in a People's Daily video campaign to "oppose violence" and "rebuild Hong Kong."

After businesses stopped importing cotton from there due to human rights issues, Yung published on Weibo in March 2021, expressing her support for cotton grown in Xinjiang.
