Su-won Jang Career

Career

Jang Su-won was encouraged by a friend to apply for a DSP audition and was accepted. During the interview, he said he was good at nothing and was chosen because of this honest answer. Kang Sung-hun, who had the power of selecting members, was chosen for his good looks and positive attitude later in the day.

He was in his second year of high school when he first appeared as Sechs Kies in 1997. He was known to be the most compassionate and youngest of the group. Despite the fact that he had no part in the group, he was praised for his singing ability. Sechs Kies was a hit in the 1990s and became a symbol of the 1990s. However, they soon disbanded after the introduction of their fourth album in May 2000.

Su-won joined Kim Jae-duck in 2002 to form J-Walk under Kiss Entertainment and began to perform more. In March 2002, the band titled Suddenly Same as hit song on their first album. "Now" went as high as No. 2 in the U.S. 2nd on the music charts. However, their follow-up album "Someday" was not as popular. In 2002, they received the SBS Gayo Daejeon Popularity Award with Kang Sung-hun.

They then worked with their former DSP label-mate Click-B to form JnC, a project boy group based on Kiss Entertainment. Since releasing their debut project album in 2004, one of Click-B's founding members was left, leaving JnC inactive.

When they signed with Vitamin Entertainment, their first EP Sun Shower() was postponed until 2007. In 2008, J-Walk released their third album My Love in 2008, and Eun Ji-won assisted them by appearing in the music video and being included in the title track. Su-won had to promote the album by himself after Kim Jae-duck joined the military just after. Su-won joined the military in December 2009 and spent time in Division 15's military band. In October 2011, he was drafted from the army.

J-Walk has signed under A&G Modes and has released some digital songs since being discharged from service. In December 2013, they released mini album "Love...Painfully" with the main track "Strive."

Su-won appeared in "Love and War" in September 2013, but he was chastised for his poor acting, which has been described as "robot-acting" and "unwatchable." People stopped criticizing him in 2014 owing to his warm demeanor and strong appearance on the show Radio Star. In addition, he regained fame with his imitators of his poor performance at variety shows, which resulted in several offers of CFs (advertisements). Jang Geu Rae was also cast in the drama "Misaengmool," which was a parody version of the popular drama "Misaeng." However, people were dissatisfied with his rising acting abilities, and even missed his "robot-acting."

After their disbandment 16 years ago in a popular Korean variety TV show titled "Infinite Challenge," SechsKies' disbandment was revived in 2016. On the day before SechsKies' debut, they held a pop-up reunion concert on April 14th. Sechs Kies gained more followers as a result of the Infinite Challenge, and their hit songs "Couple" took first place in 11th place in Music Bank.

YG Entertainment has officially announced that they had signed a contract with SechsKies except for Ko Ji Yong on May 11. On October 7, SechsKies launched "Three Words ( )", a new digital single that debuted on all eight major music charts shortly after its debut, gaining all-kill status. It has also ranked in Asian music charts and international iTunes in Taiwan, and is one of the top songs on iTunes charts in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and others.

Su-won was reportedly keen to get back to the radio Star and paved the way for his reunion, so he is thrilled. In addition, he received a new invitation after coming back to various activities and television shows.

SechsKies' latest album, which will be released on November 23, will be released on December 1, 2016. The new album, "2016 Re-ALBUM," features ten of SechsKies' hits songs that were rearranged and remastered by YG engineers, and it is offered as a special gift for fans.
