Havana Brown or DJ Havana Brown (born Angelique Frances Meunier; 14 February 1985) is an Australian DJ, recording artist, record producer and dancer.

In 2008, Brown signed with Island Records Australia as a DJ for the record company, and began releasing her Crave compilation album series, which featured remixes of songs from other artists.

This led to her touring with international artists, including Britney Spears, Rihanna, the Pussycat Dolls, Chris Brown and Enrique Iglesias.Brown made her debut as a recording artist in 2011, with the single "We Run the Night", which reached number five on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart and was certified triple platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA).

The single earned Brown two ARIA Music Award nominations for Breakthrough Artist Single and Highest Selling Single.

Following this success, Brown signed a US record deal with Universal Republic via producer RedOne's label 2101 Records.

A remix of "We Run the Night", featuring American rapper Pitbull, was produced by RedOne and released in the United States.

It reached number one on the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart and number 26 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The remix was included on Brown's first EP, When the Lights Go Out, which was released in July 2012.

Brown was also one of the contestants in the second season of the Australian version of the TV series I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2016, where she came 6th.

Life and career

Brown was born in Melbourne, Australia, to Mauritian parents of French descent from Rodrigues, and she grew in both Australia and Rodrigues, which she returned to often. She was signed to a record label in the United Kingdom by Fishbowl before she started to DJ. They were supposed to debut their first single under the brand, but the band fell apart and Brown went to DJing. She then began performing in Melbourne and worked with promotions around Australia.

Brown signed to Island Records Australia in 2008 after being approached by a company's chief, who asked her if she wanted to produce a compilation album. Through the brand, she has been releasing her Crave compilation collection collection series. Brown helped Rihanna on her Australian leg of her Good Girl Gone Bad Tour in October 2008. During the Australian leg of their Doll Domination Tour, she served as a support act for the Pussycat Dolls in May 2009. During the European leg of her 2009 Circus Tour, Brown also helped Britney Spears. In November 2009, she took over the tour's support for the Australian leg.

Brown has been delivering mixes every Saturday night on Party People, a radio show that broadcasts all around Australia by the Today Network.

Brown was a supporting act for Chris Brown's Australian leg of his F.A.M.E. Tour of the United States. Brown's debut single "We Run the Night," written and produced by Cassie Davis and Snob Scrilla of More Mega, was released on April 29, 2011. The song debuted at number five on the ARIA Singles Chart and was given triple platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) for selling 210,000 copies. Brown signed a US recording deal with Universal Republic Records through producer RedOne's label 2101 Records on September 4, 2011. In the United States, the official remix of "We Run the Night," starring additional production by RedOne and a rap verse by American rapper Pitbull, was released on September 27. When the Lights Go Out, Brown's debut EP When the Lights Go Out was released on July 17, 2012. The Australian version of the EP contained five new songs, while the US version featured the RedOne remix of "We Run the Night." She appeared on America's Got Talent on July 18, 2012, as a musical guest. Brown, Timomatic and Taio Cruz, became a support act for Pitbull's Australian leg of the World Pit World Tour in August 2012. Brown appeared in Australia at the first ABU TV Song Festival 2012, which took place at the KBS Concert Hall in Seoul, South Korea, on October 14, 2012. On December 4, 2012, R3hab and Prophet of 7Lions appeared in "Big Banana," the third single from When the Lights Go Out. It also ranked at number 15 on the US Dance/Electronic Songs chart, peaking at number 15 on the US Dance/Electronic Songs chart. "Big Banana" in Australia reached number 18 on the ARIA Singles Chart and number two on the ARIA Dance Singles Chart, and it came in second place. "Spread a Little Love" was the EP's fourth single, but it failed to chart.

Brown's "Glimpse" was released in 2018 as the hip hop inspired single (feat). Rich the Kid. The single was originally released as the lead single from her then-upbeat EP. "Cookie" (feast) is the product of the "feat." Veronica Vega (aka Veronica Vega) was the second single from the then-upcoming EP on May 10, 2019. However, the EP was postponed due to damage to the original masters.

Brown's single "All Day" was released on October 18, 2019; it features Pop music and R&B inspired sound.
