Lenka Kripac (born 19 March 1978) is an Australian singer and actress best known for her single "The Show" from her self-titled album Lenka.

Many advertisements, most notably for Old Navy, as well as the Nickelodeon film Angus, Thongs, Perfect Snogging, and 2011's Moneyball have used "The Show."

In a Windows 8 television commercial and a Disney Movie Rewards commercial, her song "Everything at Once" was used.

Attune, her fifth studio album, was released in 2017.

Early life

Eden, Lenka, the daughter of Czech-born jazz trumpeter Ji Kipa and Australian schoolteacher, was raised in Bega, Australia's coastal town, until age seven, when she and her family moved to Sydney, where she received her training, acting, and music education, and eventually became a well-known theatre actress and later performer.

Lenka now lives in regional New South Wales, Australia. Lenka is married to visual artist James Gulliver Hancock. She revealed she was pregnant on September 27, 2011. Quinn gave birth to a baby on Twitter in March 2012. Etta, her daughter, was born in 2016 in Atlanta.

Career

Lenka studied acting at the Australian Theatre for Young People, where she trained with actress Cate Blanchett as a child. Lenka appeared in the Australian ABC-TV drama series GP as Vesna Kapek in the 1990s. She has also appeared in other Australian television series including Home and Away, Wildside, Head Start, and Spellbinder. She appeared in Australian feature films The Dish and Lost Things, as well as in theatre performances. On Paul Mac's 2005 album Panic Room, Lenka provided the vocals for two tracks. Lenka Kripac, Lenka Kripac, was a member of the Australian electronic-rock crossover band Decoder Ring for two of their albums. In 2007, she and her husband moved to California.

Lenka's debut album, "The Show" (produced by Stuart Brawley), was the first single release from the set after adopting her first name as her sole artistic name. According to the US Billboard 200, the album debuted at number 142. In a Windows 8 ad, her song "Everything at Once" was featured, making it a worldwide hit. Lenka produces stop-motion animated music videos for each of her singles with her partner James Gulliver Hancock, a Melbourne-based visual artist, for a deliberately childlike effect. On German artist Schiller's album Atemlos ("Addicted" and "Sunrise"), she performed vocals on two tracks ("Addicted" and "Sunrise"), which was released in Germany on March 12, 2010.

In 2011, she released her second album Two, which was inspired by her marriage and is full of romantic love songs. Despite a warm critical reception, the album did not perform to the extent of her debut album, with Two of them achieving top chart positions of 69 and 88 respectively, on the Belgian and Swiss charts. Shadows was her third album after her son's birth in 2013.

The Bright Side, her fourth studio album, was released in 2015, and the most popular song on her album was "Blue Skies." On YouTube, a remix version of the song, which was released on YouTube remix channel Trap Nation, has more than 30 million views. Attune, her latest album, was released in 2017 and features the track Heal, which was created in collaboration with Australian singer and writer Sally Seltmann. "All My Bells Are Ringing," "We Will Not Grow Old," "Don't Let Me Fall," and "Trouble Is a Friend" are among her favorite songs on BBC.
