Ella McMahon (born 1 April 1994) is an English singer and songwriter, best known by her stage name Ella Eyre.
She is best known for her collaborations with Rudimental on their UK number one single "Waiting All Night" (2013), winner of the British Single of the Year Award in 2014, and Sigala on their singles "Came Here for Love" (2017) and "Just Get Paid" (2018).

Early life and education
Eyre was born on April 1st, 1994, and was raised in Ealing, West London. Her father was Jamaican and her mother is Maltese. Her father was a baker who lived in Jamaica, but his health was too poor to travel to the United Kingdom. Before starting to perform professionally, Eyre began training as a competitive swimmer.
Eyre attended Millfield School in Somerset, defuting the belief that she came from a wealthy family, she found that her mother would not have afforded the fees and went to school on a "serious swimming scholarship." She later attended the BRIT School of Performing Arts and Technology, where she studied musical theatre. McMahon juggled school with songwriting, which was unearthed by her guidance through a vocal coach in 2011. She signed to Warner/Chappell Music in July 2012, and a record deal with Virgin EMI followed shortly after.
Personal life
Eyre and Lewi Morgan, the British pop rock band Rixton, broke up in February 2017 after a two-year relationship. Eyre revealed the death of her father a week after the comeback show at KOKO in April 2017.

Music career
In December 2012, Eyre appeared on Bastille's coverage and mash-up of TLC's "No Scrubs" and "Angels" in TLC. "No Angels" is the track on the band's 2012 mixtape, Other People's Heartache, Pt. 2. She appeared on drum and bass band Rudimental's single "Waiting All Night" in April 2013, gaining Eyre's first chart appearance. She appeared alongside rapper Wiz Khalifa on the track "Think About It" from producer Naughty Boy's 2013 album Hotel Cabana in August 2013. In November 2013, the album was released as the album's fourth single. Eyre also reviews rapper Tinie Tempah's album Demonstration on the track "Someday (Place in the Sun)," which debuted on the UK Singles Chart at number 87, but was never released as a single.
Deeper, Eyre's first EP, was released in December 2013, and the title track debuted at number 72. On May 29, 2017, Eyre and Sigala released "Came Here for Love," a new collaborative single that debuted on June 9, 2017.
