Is the World Strange or Am I Strange? Jarvis announced his second album title as "Is the World Strange or Am I Strange?" On his official Facebook page, he talks about his son. "Gay Pirates" is the first single from the album, which was released on January 23, 2011. Jarvis produced the single's music video. The album was released on Record of the Day and AOL's Spinner video of the day. On the Triple J Hottest 100 of 2011, which aired on Australia Day in 2012, "Gay Pirates" was ranked 85 on the list. Soundblab album reviews gave the album an 8.10/10 rating. In an interview with TNC, he revealed that he had started filming on his first feature film, The Naughty Room.

Multiple songs/variations of songs from Jarvis' third studio album titled Think Bigger appeared in the film on August 20, 2012, shortly after the unveiling of the film's second studio album, titled Think Bigger. In late 2012, he toured the United Kingdom to assist Mad Dog Mcrea, for whom he wrote the song "Waiting on the Hill." The movie Hawk(e): Cosmo Jarvis' "The Movie (2013)" features several songs by Cosmo Jarvis. "Love This" debuted at number 59 on the Triple J Hottest 100, 2012. Jarvis re-released his 2012 album Think Bigger (2020 Deluxe Edition) on November 20th, as the 2012 album was never widely distributed globally.
