Casey Donovan (born 13 May 1988) is an Australian singer, songwriter, actress, comedian, and author best known for winning the second season of Australian Idol.
She was the series' youngest champion at the age of 16, winning the tournament for the first time in history.

Early life
Casey Donovan was born in Condell Park, New South Wales, with a family lineage that included several relatives in musical careers, including her father, who is also a member of The Donovans, alongside her brothers. Her mother and siblings moved in with stepfather Norm Axford after her parents divorced. Casey was always fascinated with singing and performing as a child. When she was ten years old, a childhood acquaintance with the Donovan cousins sparked an interest in both singing and playing guitar, which culminated in busking on Tamworth's streets during the Country Music Festival. Casey's musical aptitude was evident at Bass Hill Public School and Georges Hall Primary School, but it was not enough to warrant any public notice. Her talent wasn't evident until she came to Condell Park High, where she was aided greatly by both her mother and stepfather.

Donovan moved to the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney in 2004 and auditioned for the second season of Australian Idol, performing Kasey Chambers' "A Million Tears."
