Arbaaz Khan (born 4 August 1967) is an Indian actor, director, and film producer who mainly works in Hindi language films.

He has also appeared in a few Urdu, Telugu, and Malayalam language films.

He has appeared in a variety of leadership and support roles since his debut in 1996.

With Arbaaz Khan Productions, he started with Dabangg (2010), in which he played as the younger brother of his real-life brother Salman Khan.

The film went on to become one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time.

He also received the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment for the same duration.

He also hosted Power Couple, a reality show that aired on Sony TV.

Early life and family

Khan was born as the second son of a family with strong ties to Bollywood; his father is Salim Khan, a well-known screenwriter, and his mother, Sushila Charak, is a Bollywood actress, while his stepmother, actress Helen Khan, is a female singer. Salman Khan, the brother of Bollywood actor Salman Khan, with whom he attended the Scindia School in Gwalior, is a student of the Gujarati Academy. Sohil Khan, a producer, is the author. He has one sister, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, and an adopted sister Arpita Khan. Atul Agnihotri and Ayush Sharma, his brother-in-law.

Personal life

In 1998, Khan married model and actress Malaika Arora. They have a son, Arhaan Khan, who was born in 2002. On March 28, 2016, the couple announced their divorce on March 28, 2016 and officially got divorced on May 11, 2017.

Acting career

Khan appeared in Daraar, a bleak portrayal of a psychotic wife-beater. For his role in a Negative Role, he was given the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role. He has appeared in many multi-starrer hit films, including Pyaar Kiya Kya (1998), for which he received a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor nomination, and Garv: Pride and Honour (2004), where he appeared opposite his brother Salman.

He appeared in the film Qayamat: City Under Threat (2003), which was also a hit at the box office. He also appeared in support roles in film director Priyadarshan's comedy films Hulchul (2004), Malamaal Weekly (2006), and Bhag (2006). In the multi-starrers Shootout at Lokhandwala and Fool and Final in 2007, he appeared in supporting roles as both a police officer (Constable Javed Shaikh) and a crowd (Moscow Chikna). He also appeared in the blockbuster Jaane Tu... with brother Sohail Khan. Imran Khan and Genelia D'Souza appear in Ya Jaane Na, starring Imran Khan and Genelia D'Souza. He appeared in Kisaan and played the villain in Jai Veeru in 2009. Khan appeared in the television series Karishma - The Miracles of Destiny in 2003 and has appeared in several television shows from time to time.

After an undercover police investigation, serial scammers who tricked nine elderly people into handing over nearly £12,000 by compelled them to hand over their bank cards. Arbaaz Khan, 31, was part of a phone scam targeting vulnerable pensioners with an average age of 87. Before the company drained all of the funds from their accounts, Khan would send a "runner" to retrieve the bank card from the victims' homes.
