Alex Day Life

Alexander Richard George Day (born 8 April 1989) is an English singer, vlogger, and writer.

Day has released six studio albums, two EPs, and had three hits in the United Kingdom.

His song "Forever Yours" currently holds the Guinness World Record for the highest-charting single by an unsigned artist.

Day's quirky way of releasing and distributing music helped him gain more than 1,000,000 followers and over 130 million viewers on his YouTube channel.

Personal life

He worked in the Regent Street Apple Store from 2009 to 2009. Day visited Zambia in August 2010 when she wasn't participating in the World Vision Vlogger charity run. He filmed and broadcast his experiences on YouTube. Day lived with colleague, collaborator, and bandmate Charlie McDonnell until 2013.

On February 14, 2014, Day revealed that he had been dating YouTuber Carrie Hope Fletcher since October 2013. However, Fletcher announced their break-up on Twitter on March 14, 2014.

After visiting the Plum Village Monastery in mid-2014, day has been classified as an atheist and started to follow Buddhist teachings. Day also describes herself as a minimalist.

Day admitted to being involved in "manipulative relationships" with some women and being "created situations that put people under intense pressure" in March 2014. He made a further admission, saying that "the model of consent that I followed... was that only...no" meant, 'no'. That is not consent. He also revealed on his blog that his brand and artist pages had been taken down from his label's website.

"I just don't feel like calling Alex a friend of mine any more," Charlie McDonnell, a former colleague and coworker. Day claims he tried to reach McDonnell later on and that they could not reach an agreement on a method of contact.

Day issued a statement on October 5th, 2014, following a seven-month absence, claiming that he "didn't know at the time [the women] felt threatened] and apologizing. He also linked to what he saw as "militant" reactions on social media website Tumblr, describing them as "an angry torrent of violence" and "people just being horribly cruel to anyone who doesn't agree with them." Many YouTube contributors, such as Laci Green, Jack Howard, and Tomska, have sluggishly criticized his reaction.

Alex Day Career

Music career

Day first became interested in music in 2005 when he bought an electric guitar at the age of 15. He began his YouTube account on August 4, 2006, a year later. Day founded Chameleon Circuit, a Trock (short for "timelord rock") band that performed music influenced by Doctor Who's British TV show The Day Afternoon: Day formed Chameleon Circuit in 2008. In June 2009, the band released its first self-titled album by YouTube singers' record company DFTBA Records, as well as a second album Still Got Legs. Chameleon Circuit "puts out titles that could be used by chart-toppers," Wired said, "if they weren't excessively nerdy in the subject matter department."

Day published his debut album Parrot Stories in April 2009, which was produced by fellow musician and friend Tom Milsom. This was then followed by an EP, 117% complete, in March 2010 that featured songs referencing various video games, such as Pokémon. The World Is Mine (I Don't Know Anything) is his second album, which had a more electronic-dance sound than his previous folk collection. Day released Soup Sessions: Acoustic, an acoustic collection of half the songs on the record, to ensure he did not alienate his fans of his debut album.

Day was a featured artist on the BBC Two reality show Chartjackers in 2009. Four YouTube video creators were challenged to produce, record, and publish a pop song in ten weeks, with YouTube as a means to access lyrics and singers, with the proceeds going to the BBC Children in Need charity.

Miranda Chartrand and Adam Nichols, a singer, and the finished single, "I've Got Nothing," was released worldwide by the iTunes Store on November 9, 2009. Various media outlets, including The Times and Yahoo, all approved it. James Masterton of Music, BBC Radio 1's Chart Blog and Popjustice. The album reached No. 1 on the charts. On the UK Singles Chart, 36 children are in need, with nearly £10,000 for Children in Need.

Day spent the weekend at the Hammersmith Apollo as a chartjacker, as well as musicians like Black Eyed Peas, N-Dubz, and Pixie Lott. Day was also a member of Youstage, an ad hoc group of YouTube vloggers who competed well on the BBC Three talent competition Upstaged in March 2008.

Day performed his album "Forever Yours" at No. 1 for Christmas 2011. Since releasing over 50,000 copies in a week, the UK Singles chart has ranked 4 on the UK Singles Chart. The single was released without assistance from a record label or television coverage, and it outsold songs from multi-platinum artists such as Coldplay, Rihanna, and Katy Perry. "Forever Yours" is certainly one of the most popular self-released tracks we've ever seen, the Official Charts Company lauded this week's success, but Alex's success this week are a true reflection of his army of supporters' passion and, of course, the strength of social media. Both Day and Night released 11 alternate versions of "Forever Yours" announcing that all money earned from the alternate versions will go to charity, primarily to World Vision.

Day's second single, "Lady Godiva," a recreation of the 1966 Peter and Gordon song, was released on April 1, 2012. Following a one-single distribution agreement with HMV and other stores, the single was the first physical appearance in UK record stores. The album debuted at No. 1 during its first week of debut. It's second time a Top 20 hits on the UK. The song has also charted in 15 other nations, including Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, Sweden, Norway, and Spain, as well as reaching No. 88. Slovenia has the number one. Day Day released three singles, "Good Morning Sunshine," "She Walks Right Through Me," and "This Kiss," all in a single day, selling nearly 150,000 copies. This "disruptive" model largely abandoned the old fashion of releasing one single every few months, and MTV and Billboard covered it well.

Day has gained millions of fans for his music by posting music videos on YouTube, with his most popular being the 2011 single "Forever Yourself" which has a 1.5 million viewers in its first week of release. Charlie McDonnell's video has since been taken down from the website.

With his song "Stupid Stupid," he attempted to smash the world record for most songs sold in 1 hour. The album debuted at No. 1 on the UK charts in 1989, peaking at No. 2. 25. Day held a one-day tour titled Stupidfest, which was free to enter in order to promote the single.

On March 17, 2013, Day Day released Epigrams and Interludes, his third album. It features all his previous singles since "Forever Yours." Tom Ridgewell, Carrie Hope Fletcher, and Khyan Mansley appeared in a music video for 'I've Got What It Takes,' starring Tom Ridgewell, Carrie Hope Fletcher and Khyan Mansley. The album debuted at No. 1 on the charts at No. 1. 2nd on the UK iTunes charts.

With the introduction of Epigrams and Interludes, Day has collaborated with BitTorrent for an exclusive bundle. In the first week of its debut, the box was downloaded over a million times.

Following allegations of sexual manipulation, Day deleted his artist pages, merchandise, and information from his record label, DFTBA Records, in March 2014. alexdaymusic.com's official website has been taken down, with generic landscape photos replacing the text.

Day uploaded a video on his YouTube channel on October 5, 2014, his first video since February 2014. "The Past" was the theme. Day addresses his side of the allegations against him, as well as his thoughts and opinions on the subject. Day also stated that he planned to produce and publish more videos describing the situation.

Day posted his latest single, "Scared Like Me" on YouTube on January 10, 2015, and thus announced his musical return. It was his first new song in two years. Day also announced that he would release a new album on October 4th, and that three more singles from this year will be released. 'Nowhere Left To Hide' was later revealed, and it would be released later.

Day added a new song to his channel on April 3, 2015, a copy of Chumbawamba's Ugh. Your Ugly Houses! It was supposed to be unveiled as a demonstration single during the 2015 UK General Election, focusing on the UK government's lack of representation and electoral system. On the week of its launch, the single aimed to chart at number one in the United Kingdom, but it didn't quite succeed. It was later released as part of his 2021 album Relax! Nothing Is Under Control!

Day's website had a new single titled 'Keep Me Up' on Saturday, which you could download on his website. On July 25, 2015, his fourth and final single, titled 'Beyond You,' was released. Day Day announced on October 3 that the album would be released a day early for all of those who registered for the newsletter. Nowhere Left To Hide, rather than a physical CD edition, will be available as a physical USB with the album on. This was a difficult album to make,' Day wrote on the record. In a lot of ways, it was an album I needed to make. It's very raw and makes me feel a little exposed. But I adore it and am proud to have it and share it. I think certain portions of it are my best work, and overall, it's probably the most cohesive launch I've ever seen.'

Day revealed in December 2015 that he had recorded five new songs for an unidentified studio release. He revealed that the album would be called Split Infinities on January 28, 2016, and it would be the first of his solo albums to have a backing band. On September 30, 2016, he announced it on the 30th of September 2016. In October 2019, Day released his sixth album Sunset on streaming platforms, as well as his seventh album Relaxation! In August 2021, nothing was under control.
