Machine Gun Kelly Life

Colson Baker (born Richard Colson Baker, 1990), also known as Machine Gun Kelly (abbreviated as MGK), is an American rapper and actor from Cleveland, Ohio.

Baker began performing as a child, releasing a mixtape in 2006.

He continued to introduce four more mixtapes. In 2011, Baker signed a recording deal with Bad Boy and Interscope Records.

Lace Up, his debut album by a major label, was unveiled in October 2012 to a positive response from critics.

The album contained the singles "Wild Boy," "Invincible," "Stereo," and "Hold On" and "Hold On"; it was later announced that it had sold more than 178,000 copies and debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 chart; it was later revealed that it had sold more than 178,000 copies.

In early 2015, he released the singles "Do I Die" and "A Little More" for his second studio album, GM Admission, which came out in October 2015 and debuted at number four in the United States.

The album featured darker tones, rap rock, R&B, and storytelling.

Bloom, his third studio album, was released on May 12, 2017, immediately after Camila Cabello's "Bad Things" debuting at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming his highest-charting single.

"Hollywood Whore," "El Diablo," and "I Think I'm Okay" was his fourth studio album, supporting Travis Barker and Yungblud. Baker made his film debut in the 2014 romantic comedy Beyond the Lights.

He has appeared in many other films and appeared in numerous others, as well as on the Showtime series Roadies in 2016.

Early life

Baker was born in Houston on April 22, 1990, to missionary parents. Baker and his family travelled around the world, and he spent the first four years of his life in Egypt. In Chicago, Denver, and Cleveland, he went to Germany as well as throughout the United States. When Baker's mother was nine years old, he and his father went to Denver to live with Baker's aunt Betty. The baker's father battled depression and unemployment. Baker claims he had just two school outfits and suffered with bullying from children in his neighborhood. When he attended Hamilton Middle School, a Denver school with an ethnically diverse student body, he started listening to rap in the sixth grade. Baker attended Shaker Heights High School in Cleveland when he was a student.

Ludacris, Eminem, and DMX were among the first three rappers to gain traction as a child, with Baker gaining interest in the genre after listening to DMX's "We Right Here" from the album The Great Depression (2001).

Personal life

Baker was in his teens in a relationship with Emma Cannon, with whom he had a daughter who was born in July 2009.

In several interviews, he has confirmed that he smokes regularly, describing it as a "source of joy" and "a way for people to feel a little more love [in their own right]]. He has frequently quoted cannabis information in his music and rap profiles, putting it at the forefront of both his rap and personal identity. He had a heroin use for a brief period before the release of Lace Up. Prior to 2020, he was also a heavy user of cocaine and alcohol. Baker admitted in November that he had developed an Adderall addiction and was seeking medical attention.

In a 2012 interview, he said that he identifies politically as an anarchist.

Baker was in a two-month partnership with model and actress Amber Rose, which began in April 2015. Sommer Ray was dated from March to April 2020, according to him. Since being filming Midnight in the Switchgrass, actor Megan Fox has been in a relationship since May 2020. The two characters were engaged on January 12, 2022, Fox announced that they were engaged.

On May 7, 2012, Baker's feud with Eminem began when he wrote a tweet announcing that Eminem's daughter Hailie was "hot as fuck," despite the fact that she was 16 at the time. Baker argued that this resulted in Eminem blacklisting him from a number of radio stations in an interview with WQHT on October 19, 2015. Baker's freestyle for KPWR ran on May 16, 2017, which included a line criticizing Eminem's suspected banning of him from Shade 45. Baker performed on a verse of Tech N9ne's "No Reason" on March 1, 2018. Eminem's diss track "Not Alike" was revealed shortly after, shortly after, where he said Baker's verse on the song was about him. Baker replied to this on September 3, 2018 with his own diss track "Rap Devil." Eminem appeared in an interview with Sway Calloway on September 12, 2018 where he discussed his motives for the feud. In reaction to "Rap Devil," Eminem released "Killshot" on September 14, 2018. Eminem released the song "Unicacommodating," which featured a verse directed at Baker on January 17, 2020. Baker's album "Bullets with Names," starring Young Thug, RJMrLA, and Lil Duke, which also included a verse directed at Eminem, was released on March 17, 2020. Eminem's song "Gnat" was released on December 18, 2020. In this recording, Eminem dissed Baker in the chorus. Dr. Dr. Dre's new EP The Contract starring Eminem and The D.O.C. premiered on December 15, 2021. Eminem dissed Baker once more in this video.

As G-Eazy's friendship with Halsey came to an end, Baker and Halsey's feud with G-Eazy began. G-Eazy revealed on July 18, 2018, that he had bleached his hair blond, which Baker alleged on Twitter in an attempt to appear like him. G-Eazy launched "Bad Boy" against Baker on August 30, 2018, who responded the next day in a freestyle performance for Hot 97. Baker posted side-by-side snaps of the two girls on the day, with the caption: "I fucked his girl now he looks like me this shit overbearing." Eminem defended G-Eazy and the two parties came to an end in April 2019, according to NME's account of an "intervention by Eminem."

In 2021, Baker became involved in a feud with Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, who was referred to in an interview where Taylor said, "I hate all new rock for the most part." — well, the artists who failed in one style and decided to go wild. I suspect he knows who he is, but that's another story. Baker and Slipknot were scheduled to perform on the same day and time at Riot Fest in September 2021, although on separate stages. Baker had the opportunity to respond to Taylor's remarks by starting his set by asking that the crew light the crowd so he could "see who preferred to be here rather than with all the old strange dudes with masks." Later, he sluggishly sluggishly said, "You know what I'm really glad that I'm not doing." "Shit" is a word that refers to "being 50 years old and wearing a fuckin' weird mask on a fuckin' stage. Baker later revealed on Twitter that Taylor was supposed to appear on "Can't Look Back," a ticket to My Downfall tribute, but that the project was not to come to fruition because Baker thought the sentence was "fucking bad" and accused Taylor of being bitter about not being included on the album. Taylor responded to the tweet by posting screenshots of emails between himself and Travis Barker, the creator of Tickets to My Downfall, which revealed that he was the one who respectfully refused to appear on the track due to artistic inconsistencies. Baker replied that he needed Taylor to rewrite his verse rather than rewrite his text, repeating his previous statement that it was "completely wrong." During a fan Q&A in January 2022, Taylor denied that Baker had started it. He went on to criticize Baker's musical direction and ordered him to "suck every inch of my dick."

He appeared on the XV film "Finally Home" prior to his employment.

Baker has announced that his debut album, Lace Up, will be released on October 9, 2012. "Wild Boy" was the album's lead single, and the song debuted at number 98 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It was soon rated gold by the RIAA. On December 16, 2011, the song "Invincible" was released on iTunes, with co-writer and singer Ester Dean as the album's second single. The song appears in a HTC ReZound commercial as well as the official theme tune for WrestleMania XXVIII. In his match against John Cena, WWE also highlighted him with the tune, with Baker also appearing at WrestleMania prior to the main event. On the NFL network, "Invincible" is now the focus for Thursday Night Football. Cena was also highlighted on WWE's "All We Have" in a rematch with The Rock at next year's championship. In its second week, the 22nd edition of the magazine reached a total of 65,000 copies sold, out of total 6. The album has sold 263,000 copies as of September 2015.

Baker revealed that he would debut a new mixtape in early 2012. Pusha T and Meek Mill were the first artists to be included on the mixtape, with both appearing on the track "Pe$o." Wiz Khalifa will also be included on the mixtape, according to Baker. On February 18, 2013, Baker revealed the letter as Black Flag and announced the front. As the music video release served as a promotional video for Black Flag, he also released a music video for "Champions" which features Diddy and samples. Baker announced the Black Flag on June 26, but no one else had anticipated it. Besides French Montana, Kellin Quinn, Dub-O, Sean McGee, and Tezo, the mixtape featured guest appearances from French Montana, Kellin Quinn, Dub-O, Sean McGee, and Tezo. Baker posted a snapshot of a letter on his social media pages on June 4, 2013.

Following the unveiling of Black Flag, rumors that Baker had begun working on his second studio album surfaced. In January 2014, he announced that he was in the early stages of being on the bandwagon, with 2015 being the first year of publication. On June 5, 2015, a remix of "Till I Die" with hometown fellow hip-hop band Bone Thugs-n-Harmony was revealed and released months later. The song premiered on WorldStarHipHopHop and featured French Montana, Yo Gotti, and Ray Cash. The music video for another song titled "A Little More" was released on May 18, 2015, with Victoria Monet's vocals on the single. Baker appeared in MTV shortly, discussing the reason for why he wrote "A Little More." "People always came up to me after the first album, and a lot of my friends back home said, 'We need something for the streets,' and then I did Till I Die. A month later, when I looked back at the video [for Till I Die], I was like, he's dead, he's dead, he's dead, he's dead, he's dead, he's dead, he's dead, he's dead, he's dead, he's dead, he's dead, I'm sorry, and I wrote the song to show how I see the world as a much mature persona He also updated the status of his second studio album, noting that the album will be released and predicting that the collection would have "more lyricism and [would be more] stylistically [influenced by] hip-hop], but that musically, sonically [would include] more live instrumentation."

Baker's second album, titled 'General Admission,' was set to be published in late September 2015.

Baker appeared at Quicklane, which was located at the Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland in February. In late 2016, Baker's "Bad Things," a joint single with Camila Cabello that has reached a peak of number four on the US Billboard Hot 100, debuted on September.

Baker was supposed to be the opening act on Linkin Park's One More Light Tour before the tour was postponed due to Chester Bennington's death. Baker would follow Bennington by announcing an acoustic version of the Linkin Park track "Numb."

Baker's "Rap Devil" album was released on September 3, 2018. The album was a follow-up to Eminem's "Not Alike" off of his album Kamikaze. The track, based on Eminem's own "Rap God" single, accuses Eminem of attempting to undermine Baker's career after he made a remark about Eminem's teenage daughter, Hailie, in 2012. On his Twitter page, Baker said that he was "standing up for not only myself but also my generation." [I'm] doing the same shit you did back in your day]" On September 10, 2018, the iTunes Charts hit "Rap Devil" as the top gadget on the iTunes charts. Eminem played "Killshot" on September 14, 2018, the singer's own diss tracker.

Baker's single "Why Are You Here" was released on December 18, 2020, another pop punk song. He started hinting at a forthcoming project with Travis Barker directing later this month, but it was then revealed that the album would be entirely pop punk, inspired to pursue a complete release in the style because of his two previous attempts in the style.
