Career

Harris began performing in pubs and bars with a friend; after one of the performances, she was invited to Russ Ballard's house and studio to record a demo.

Harris worked with Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Tom McWilliams, who helped with song arrangement and composition from 2005 to 2008. McWilliams has performed as the band's drummer on tour with Harris.

Harris toured Europe, performing outdoor festivals including the German Rock Am Ring, Rock Am Park, and UK Download Festivals.

Harris, a London based musician, was on the A Matter of Life and Death world tour, performing at Dubai and the Brixton Academy, among other venues. Harris' debut album Calm Before the Storm, which was mixed by Kevin Shirley, came as the tour came to an end. She toured the United Kingdom and Europe in support of the release. Harris joined Iron Maiden once more, this time on the Somewhere Back In Time World tour.

The Lauren Harris Band appeared as a support act for Iron Maiden, Within Temptation, and Mötley Crüe, among other things.

Belinda Carlisle, Shakespears Sister, Alanis Morissette, Heart, Def Leppard, and the Foo Fighters were among Harris' musical influences in 2008.

Following lineup changes, the Lauren Harris Band began touring under the new name "Six Hour Sundown." Compass Point Studios in the Bahamas produced new songs, but only Jekyll & Hyde were released as a single for Download in 2011. The band appeared at several festivals before deciding to part ways in late 2012.
