Career
Kai's debut extended play, 11:11, featured her debut single "I Choose Me," which is often used in First Choice Haircutters' campaigns. The EP received minimal recognition and did not chart.
Kai also worked with the Montreal dubstep group Adventure Club on the album "Need Your Heart," which showcases Kai's vocals and writing. Several artists, including Minnesota, Crywolf, and Candyland, have remixed the song. The song peaked at number 2 on the iTunes Electronic music chart, despite its popularity.
Kai worked with Diplo on his EP Revolution, co-writing, and appearing on the title track "Revolution." Because of the Internet, she lent her vocals to Childish Gambino's song "Crawl."
Kai wrote "Sweet Talker," Diplo's third studio album of the same name that was announced in October 2014. She said she wrote the song with Rihanna in mind. She wrote and appeared on "Mind" on Jack Ü's debut album, a joint effort of Skrillex and Diplo, in 2015.
