Acting career

In 1996, Bleu and his family migrated from New York to Los Angeles. He spent his time in episodic television and film roles, including a recurring role in ABC's short-lived police drama High Incident and a guest star appearance on ER. He appeared in some films, including Beach Movie (1998) and Soldier (1998). He has directed two of his comedies, Galaxy Quest (1999) and the comedy The Family Tree (1999), starring Ben Stiller and Matthew Lawrence. Bleu appeared in Malcolm & Eddie, as Matthew, and Cover Me: Based on the True Life of an FBI Family (2000), as Nick Elderby and smaller roles as in Nickelodeon's comedy "The Amanda Show."

In addition, Bleu was honing his dance skills and starting intensive training at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy in the Los Angeles area in 2001. He performed a full range of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, hip-hop, African, break dance, salsa, flamenco, and ballroom.
