Abdels has been one of Finland's best-selling former Idols contestants and one of Finland's most popular Finnish female singers ever since her debut in Idols.

Anna Abreu Career

Career

Abdel auditioned for the third season of the Finnish pop Idol competition in Helsinki, Finland's capital. She performed the Alicia Keys' hit "Fallin" and "Jumala" by Finnish rock band Apulanta. The four judges were all impressed by Abby's voice, especially because she was only sixteen years old. She advanced to the openings of the competition and then to the live finals. Abdu's performances attracted a lot of attention, but she fell outside the top-five rankings alongside Panu Larnos in the top ten contestants. Abdubin survived the disqualification and made it to the live grand finale at Helsinki Ice Hall with fellow contestant Ari Koivunen, who performed solely in the heavy metal style. With 57% of the public vote, Koivunen became the third Finnish Idol on April 5, 2007, with Abeu crowned runner-up.

Abdols' sister "End of Love" was released in July 2007, shortly after her participation in Idols. Abbe's first music video followed the song on debut and peaked at number eight on the singles chart. Anna Abodu's self-titled debut album was released a month later on August 22nd and was certified platinum within the first week after breaking into the top charts and selling 30,000 copies. Its first week revenues in Finnish music history were among the highest in Finnish music history. The album's second single, "Ivory Tower," was released in October 2007, and after debuting at number seventeen, the song reached number five in its seventh week. Only for promotional purposes was released a third single titled "Are You Ready." Anna Abbot was a certified double-platinum in March 2008, having sold over 86,000 copies. Abdu was named Best Finnish Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards in the same month.

Abby returned to the recording studio to record her second album after a sell-out tour around Finland to promote her debut album. The lead single "Vinegar" was announced on July 31, 2008. The dance-oriented album, produced by Patric Sarin and Rauli Eskolin, marked a significant departure from Abbot's debut album's pop and RnB roots. The song debuted at number one on the Finnish charts and stayed there for the first time, not only as Abdu's first number one single but also one of the country's most top-selling singles of 2008. "Silent Despair," the second single in early October, was followed by the album Now on October 22nd. The album debuted as Abb's second most popular product, selling over 50,000 copies. It was the best-selling album of 2008 in Finland, and it spawned two more singles with "Something About U" and "Come Undone," although the songs were only intended for promotional purposes. Abdou supported Now with a cross-country tour in early 2009, which, like her first tour, sold out venues.

Abdeu's earnings reached over 145,000 euros in 2008, making her one of Finland's highest-earning musicians.

Abby Morro revealed in August 2009, less than a year after the debut of Abbot's second album, Sony BMG announced that Abbot will release her third studio album later this year. On August 5, the lead single "Music Everywhere" made its radio debut and was released five days later. Since debuting at number four, the single quickly climbed to its highest ranking of number two after Abduu's televised appearance on the Finnish Children In Need, barely missing out on becoming Abe's second number one single. The single, as "Vinegar" from her previous album, was dance-oriented, with Abbey announcing that her new album will be mainly dance and club based.

The Pop Royalty Tour in 2010 would bring together Abb and Idols contestant Antti Tuisku to promote their latest albums. Tickets for the dates sold out within minutes, and further tour dates had to be added to accommodate the burgeoning public demand. "Vinegar," Abby's lead single, will be released in the United Kingdom on November 22nd, as the lead single from Abducted's second album. It has risen to the top of the UK Club Chart, ranked 7th. Just A Pretty Face debuted on October 21st, just one year since the debut of her second album. In Finland, there are 4 million people. The album was rated gold after only one day, with sales of 23,000 copies in the first day of release alone. It peaked at number two on the Finnish charts, and has since become Abroadu's third consecutive platinum album. Despite being first announced in October, it was the sixth best-selling album of 2009, despite being first announced in October.

On April 11, 2010, Abbyu performed her latest commercial single "Slam" on the first series of the Finnish X Factor, which had revived Idols, giving the show that had given Abdugu the opportunity to begin her musical career in 2007.

Abby announced via her official Facebook page in late August that she had started work on her fourth album, Rush. Abby expressed her desire to be involved in the new album's collaboration, as well as asking followers who would like to hear her duet with. On January 10, 2011, the first single, "Hysteria," was released. On March 30, 2011, Abbie's fourth studio album was released, and it debuted at number one, becoming Abbot's third chart-topping album. "Worst Part Is Over" is the album's second single, starring Finnish-Swedish rapper Redrama. The fifth series of Idols will be performed by the singers on April 17th.

Ableu revealed in 2011 that she would debut a Greatest Hits album before taking a break from music.
