Yoo Yeon-jung, born August 3, 1999, also known as Yeonjung, is a South Korean singer.

She is best known for her participation in Cosmic Girls, as well as finishing 11th in the survival show Produce 101, making her a member of I.O.I.

Yoo was born in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, on August 3, 1999. Yoo was accepted into the Performance & Film Department of Dankook University in 2017 through rolling admission.

Yoo, joined by Kim Tae-ha and Shim Chae-eun, represented Starship Entertainment in the Mnet reality-survival program Produce 101, which sought to create an eleven-member girls group that would continue to perform for a year under YMC Entertainment. In the final episode, Yoo came in 11th with 136,780 votes, and debuted as a member of I.O.I.

With the mini-album Chrysalis, the project girl group I.O.I debuted on May 4th.

Yoo was unveiled as the third member of the IoT'I on July 11. Yoo made her official debut with WJN on August 17, 2016. They're back for their second mini album, The Secret, with all 13 members. On the track "I Will Be On Your Side" which was released on November 10, 2016, Yoo collaborated with Yoo Seung-woo. As part of The Snow Queen 3: Fire and Ice OST, Yoo and bandmate Dawon unveiled the song "Fire & Ice." On December 16, 2016, the track was announced. On May 31, 2017, Yoo released "You're Dazzling" for the television series Queen for Seven Days. Yoo performed on the track "Toy" with Brother Su and appeared on the soundtrack of Love Playlist 2 as a singer and performer. "#Drive" on DinDin was her first appearance. Meloholic's "Meloholic" was unveiled on the OCN drama Meloholic. "Marry You" followed her co-production with Maktub.

In 2018, Yoo released two soundtracks for television series "Your Name Is..." and "Stay With You" for The Undateables and Where Stars Land respectively. On October 14, 2019, Melting Me Softly's second part of the Melting Me Softly soundtrack "Tell Me, Please" was released. Yoo made her acting debut while appearing in A Korean Odyssey as a cameo.

Yoo performed in September 2019 on the survival program to select the Vocal Queen from among the various girl group candidates, where only the top 12 girl group members in voting will progress and perform on the show. After defeating Dreamcatcher's Siyeon in the finals, Yoo eventually won the competition.

Yoo was a participant in MBN's Lotto Singer in September 2020. On October 31, 2020, she sang "Spider Lily" as part of More Than Friends' soundtrack.

Yoo and the members of I.O.I.I.I.I.I.I.I.I.'s 5th anniversary were commemorated on May 4, 2021, with a reunion live stream show titled "Yes, I Love It!" "I'm a little bit late" in the story "Irma" describes him.

In Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend, Yoo performed alongside Dawon. They toured with Xitsuh and Koo Jun-yup and eventually became the final winner. For NORAE's LIVE of Time, Yoo and Dawon performed a cover song of Taeyeon's "Starlight" on August 10, the 10th anniversary of the Taeyeon's "Starlight" on NORAE. The pair continued to appear on Jo Se-ho's Wine Bar in Jo Seho. On the track "Guardian Angel," Yoo worked with MJ of Sunny Side, which was released on October 31, 2021.

In January 2022, Yoo and Seola released a "100 percent" album as part of Best Mistake 3's soundtrack. Yoo will make her musical debut in Lizzie on March 24, 2022, a stage play based on the television series's version. In the TV drama version, Yoo will be playing Seo Dan, the original role of Seo Ji-hye.
