Park Ji-hoon (born May 29, 1999) is a South Korean singer and actor.

Park first made his debut as a child actor, appearing as a supporting cast member on the MBC historical drama Jumong (2006) and earned roles in the several television dramas such as The King and I, Kimchi Cheese Smile and Iljimae.

He also established himself as a musical actor through his participation in the musicals Peter Pan, The Harmonium in My Memory and Radio Star. After winning in the second place of Mnet's Produce 101 season 2, Park rose to prominence as a member of the boy group Wanna One, formed in 2017.

The group achieved both critical and commercial success, with six Korean topped-five singles.

With the conclusion of the group activities in January 2019, Park began his solo career with EP O'Clock in March 2019.

He also returned to the acting scene in September 2019, making a lead role on JTBC historical drama Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency.

Early life and education

Park Ji-hoon was born on May 29, 1999, in Masan, South Korea. Although he comes from Gyeongsang Province, Park has lived in Seoul since he was seven-years-old. He graduated from National Middle School of Traditional Arts, where he majored in musical theatre. Park majored in broadcasting arts at School of Performing Arts Seoul and graduated in January 2018. Park was accepted into Chung-Ang University’s Department of Theater for 2018.

Park debuted as a child actor in musicals Peter Pan (2007–2009), My Memory (2010), and Radio Star (2010–2011), and television dramas Jumong (2006–2008), Kimchi Cheese Smile (2007–2008), Iljimae (2008), and more. Park was also on SS501's reality show SS501 SOS (2006), although his face was blurred out through the episodes. He appeared in the KM Idol War with Big Bang in 2007. He continued to be involved in musical theatre, television broadcasting, and film, as well as acting as an advertisement model throughout his childhood.

Park began training to become an idol singer under SM Entertainment and Fantagio, but he was less involved in the entertainment industry in his teenage years. He did not make it to the final line up of Fantagio's boy group Astro but later switched to Maroo Entertainment due to a knee injury.

Park appeared in Maroo Entertainment's second season of Produce 101 in 2017. Since going viral as "wink boy (ko: )," on M Countdown's new "It's Me (Pick Me) stage before the show began airing, he saw a surge in fame. Park's participation in the survival show attracted a lot of media attention, to the extent that his self-made aegyo catch "save you in my heart") trended on social media and was used by several companies for marketing purposes. Later this year, KOCCA named it as the best catch of 2017. In addition, Park received bids from several firms to become their advertisement model while the show was still being broadcast, and it was later revealed that Park had signed an exclusive deal with Maroo Entertainment before the show was announced. He came in second, making him a member of the project boy group Wanna One under YMC Entertainment. Wanna One disbanded on December 31, 2018 and officially concluded operations after a sold out 4-day concert series 'Therefore' ran at Gocheok Sky Dome from January 24 to 27.

Park Jihoon began his professional career with Maroo Entertainment on December 31, 2018 and held his first ever fanmeeting "PARK JIHOON 2019 ASIA FAN MEETING]' at the Grand Peace Palace in Seoul on February 9th. Taipei (March 2), Thailand (March 9), Philippines (March 15), Macau (March 8) and Japan (April 10) were closely followed by Taipei (March 2), Taipei (March 2).

Park's debut EP as a soloist, O'Clock, was released on March 26, with the lead single "L.O.V.E." On April 5, 2019, Park Jihoon won his first solo music competition with his debut album "L.O.V.E." on KBS Music Bank. Park was cast in JTBC's historical drama Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, which aired on September 16. Park received raves for his acting abilities and his first drama since being a soloist for his first drama. Park Jihoon is ranked No. ranked No. ranked on the list, with a rank of No. 1 on the list. One of the best drama casts in 8 weeks (Good Data – Drama Actors Category and Racoi ranked) on his Flower Crew drama airing (2 months).

"FANCON ASIA TOUR" started Park Jihoon's solo fanmeeting tour in December 2019. The tour was scheduled to tour cities in many countries, including Seoul, Hyogo & Tokyo, Macau, Taipei, and Jakarta, beginning in South Korea.

Park unveiled his second EP, 360, on December 4, as well as its lead single of the same name.

Park's third EP, The W, arrived more than five months later on May 26, with the title track "Wing." Park Jihoon performed on radio shows for his 'The W' campaign,' including Cool FM Radio Show, SBS Cultwo Radio Exhibition, Noon Hope Radio Show, and Sung Woon Late Night Radio Show.

Park Jihoon appeared in the Kakao M's web drama Love Revolution, which was an extension of the famous webtoon of the same name, and he played the role of Gong Ju-yeong alongside Lee Ruby and The Boyz' Younghoon. The drama aired from September 1 to December 27, 2020. On KakaoTV, Park Jihoon's Love Revolution drama has surpassed 1 million viewers and was ranked No. 1. 1 on the top ten weekly shows. The first five episodes have reached the 1M mark. His fame is on the rise, and viewers have lauded his acting abilities. Park Jihoon's album "Midnight" was recorded and released as part of the drama's soundtrack.

Park's first studio album, Message, was released on November 4, with the title track "Gotcha."

On December 13, Park Jihoon held his first ever online solo concert titled "Message."

Park's fourth EP My Collection (Gallery) was unveiled on August 12, the fourth EP My Collection's title track "Gallery."

Park's fifth EP Hot&Cold appeared on October 28, with the title track "Serious."

Park held the 2022 Park Ji-hoon Special Fanmeeting in Thailand on June 26. Park revealed that he would hold the '2022 Park Ji-hoon Special Fan Meeting in Japan' on August 18 and 2022 in Tokyo and Kobe Japan.

Park will make a comeback with his sixth EP "Nitro" on October 12, 2022, with the title track "Nitro" in August 2022. On September 30, he pre-released "Moon & Back" a b-side.

Park's 2022 Cultural Centre, 2022, on October 8, 2022, his department revealed that it would be held a two-day 'Park Jihoon 2022 Concert [CLUE]" on October 9th and 10th at the YES24 Live Hall.
