Tyson Jay Ritter (born April 24, 1984) is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, actor, and model.
He is best known as the lead vocalist, bassist, pianist, and songwriter of the All-American Rejects, a platinum-selling American alternative rock band.
Ritter appeared on Amazon Video's Betas as Dane, recurred as rock singer Oliver Rome on NBC's Parenthood, and has appeared in films including The House Bunny (2008) and Miss You Already (2015).

Tracy Jean Rains (née Lyons; born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to Edwina Lyons Sherman and Tony Eugene Lyons) and Tim Jay Ritter (born to Peggy Earl Ritter Sharpton and Steve Delano Ritter) was born on April 24, 1984. His mother is a teacher at Stillwater Public Schools. He has two siblings, Bailey Ritter, DDS, an endodontist, and his older brother, Dr. Zack S. Ritter, DDS, as an endodontist. He and his siblings graduated from Stillwater High School.
Personal life
Ritter and actress Elena Satine were engaged in April 2013 and married on New Year's Eve that year. In 2020, Ritter and Satine welcomed a son.
Ritter is an investor in various tech firms, including Hooch Apps.
Ritter lived in New Zealand during the pandemic.
Career
While Ritter was at a party in high school, he met his bandmates. After Jesse Tabish left the band and Chris Gaylor's, The All-American Rejects were picked up by Doghouse Records, later DreamWorks Records, and finally signed with Interscope Records, which later became Interscope Records. The band left Interscope in early 2018. They are currently signed to Epitaph Records as of July 2019. The All-American Rejects have released four albums to date, and have sold over ten million albums worldwide and 4 million singles.
Ritter has appeared in television series and films including House (2007), The House Bunny (2008), Betas (2013–14), and Parenthood (2013–15). Ritter performed "Air" as a solo instrument on November 5, 2013, the Rejects' new album being released on Parents'.
Tyson wrote the song "Collide" shortly after its debut on "Air," which was also featured on Parenthood. The song was never released on the store, but it is also available on YouTube.
Ritter's next project was to appear in Love and Mercy, the John Cusack film Love and Mercy (2014). He had also appeared in the lead role in Randall Miller's book Midnight Rider, but the film was ultimately cancelled due to camera assistant Sarah Jones' death. Ritter appeared in the comedy-drama film Miss You Already, which starred Toni Collette and Drew Barrymore, the following year.
