Philip David Wickham (born April 5, 1984) is a Contemporary Christian musician, singer, and songwriter from San Diego, California.

Wickham has released nine albums, Give You My World in 2003, Cannons in 2006, Singalong in 2008, and Children of God in 2012.

He has also led worship at Soul Survivor.

His critically acclaimed single "This is Amazing Grace" earned him a RIAA Platinum status and dominated the 2014 Christian Airplay chart.

Personal life

Wickham underwent surgery to remove a polyp from folds of his vocal cords on April 28, 2014, after which he was banned from going to the surgical site for healing. He was unsure whether he'd be able to perform again, contributing to identity issues and self-doubt. The inspiration for his 2016 album Children of God was his spiritual awakening during those times.

Wickham began a full-time music career in 2003 by touring California and recording his first album, Give You My World; following that success, Wickham signed with Simple Records. Wickham's debut on the self-titled label in 2006. Wickham's second appearance with Simple/INO Records, Cannons, was released in 2007. The Dawn Treader from The Chronicles of Narnia's series was partially inspired by cannon blasts and C. S. Lewis' book The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. In a talk with ChristianityToday.com, Wickham said that the album is "about how the universe is expanding with the praise of God and how we are compelled to participate in its music." "Jesus Lord of Heaven" is Cannons' 10th track, "Jesus Lord of Heaven," has been translated into seven different languages. Wickham released Singalong, a live worship album recorded at Solid Rock Church in Portland, Oregon, which attracted 3,000 people on August 8, 2008. The album was released as a free download, but only on his website, and it had over 8,000 downloads within a week of being released. His self-titled album debuted at No. 1 after the introduction of Singalong. Two years after its inception, 25 on iTunes Store Top Christian Albums has had a 25 percent rise.

Wickham's third studio album, Heaven & Earth, was released on November 17, 2009. On October 29, 2010, Wickham's Christmas album Songs for Christmas was released as a digital download on his website. Response, Wickham's fourth full-length studio album, was released on October 4, 2011. Phil Wickham's second live acoustic album, Singalong 2, was released on October 30, 2012. Wickham's fifth studio album, The Ascension, was announced on September 24, 2013. The album reached No. 6 on the charts. Wickham's highest charting album on the chart is 39 on the Billboard 200, making it Wickham's highest charting album on the chart. Wickham's album, Children of God, was released later this year in February 2016. In August 2018, Living Hope, Wickham's seventh full-length studio project, was unveiled. The album debuted at No. 1 in the United States. Billboard's Christian Albums chart is number one, his first album to do so.

Wickham appears in churches around the world to perform his music. He went on the "Coming Up to Breathe" tour with MercyMe and Audio Adrenaline from late 2006 to early 2007. He joined the David Crowder Band and The Myriad in late 2007.

Wickham was one of the worship leaders at the Soul Survivor Week C and Momentum Festival in the United Kingdom in the mid-2010s.
