In 2014, she married fellow singer Willy Moon.

The following year, the couple served as judges on the second season of the New Zealand version of The X Factor, but after the season's first live show, they were fired after their scathing remarks towards a contestant were deemed unacceptable by broadcaster TV3.

In 2016, she started a three piece girl band, Cruel Youth, with whom she has released the EP, +30mg (2016). Her biggest commercial singles were the BVMI gold-certified singles "Mirrors" (2010) and "Free" with Will.i.am and the UK-top 40 hit, "Champagne Showers" with American pop duo LMFAO.

Teddy Sinclair Career

Life and career

Natalia Noemi Cappuccini was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, to a British father of Afro-Jamaican origins and a Uruguayan mother, and attended Bradford Girls' Grammar School. When she was a child, her family moved from Bradford to Jamaica and Spain, and she spent her early years traveling between England, Jamaica, and Spain.

When she was 14 years old, she ran away from home and turned her attention away from acting and into singing. She has referred to her teen years as "generate," claiming that she attempted to set her ex-boyfriend's house on fire when both were in it. She had frequent court issues and occasionally suffered with suicidal depression. She was also briefly associated with a cult for a brief period of time.

She began working on a music career and had a massive breakthrough as "Candy Rapper" in 2003 when she won a BBC Radio 1 MC Battle in Leeds. In the 2004 film Sleepover, 'Next Big Me,' appeared under the name Verbalicous. In February 2005, she signed to Adventures in Music, the United Kingdom's record company, and her first single "Don't Play Nice" was released under the name Verbalicious. Sinclair told W that her childhood nickname from her mother was "Verbal" because she talked and sang a lot. At various points in her career, she used the name and variations of it as her stage name.

Womannequin, a demonstration she produced and wrote under the name Natalia Cappuccini, was posted to MySpace in 2007, while writing music for films. On the website, the EP received 2 million views, and she ranked at the top of the unsigned artist chart. She co-wrote and appeared on "They Talk About Me" by French singer M. Pokora, as well as Guillaume Doubet, who would go on to direct many of her videos in Paris during this period. In 2008, Sinclair moved to Los Angeles. Sinclair, who had no money or a place to live, "lived out of these motels, bumming about, trying to work with or make songs with anyone who would have me for a few hours in the studio." "I was just trying to survive and I was too young to know better," she says at the time. A DJ introduced her to will.i.am after hearing her demo and finding she did not have a contract, although she was in Los Angeles. Will.am Music Group, a songwriter, has signed her to his record label in January 2009. In a 2011 Billboard interview, she said, "We had a really good creative chemistry."

"You killed it!" Sinclair performed Natalia Kills from the interjection. "Indescribable" was her record company's warning that "Natalia Cappuccini," her legal name, was "indescribable." Following the debut of her first single, "Mirrors," which debuted in Germany in April 2011, Kills unveiled her debut album Perfectionist in Germany. Sinclair's album was referred to as a concept album, implying that everyone is a perfectionist. "Mirrors," "Wonderland," "Free," and "Kill My Boyfriend" were among the album's four tracks, as well as "Kill My Boyfriend." Throughout 2010, Kelis, Robyn, Kesha, Katy Perry, and the Black Eye Peas gained fame on various tours between 2010 and 2011. Sinclair appeared in LMFAO's single "Champagne Showers" and in Junior Caldera's album "Lights Out (Go Crazy)" ("Go Crazy).

Sinclair's second studio album, Trouble, was launched on September 14th, 2012. The album was based on her unhappy childhood. Sinclair appeared at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards' after-party in Brooklyn, New York City, where she performed several songs from Trouble. In a Polydor Records newsletter, "Outta Time" was released two days later, coinciding with the US debut of Trouble. In the United States and Canada, Trouble was first announced on September 3rd, 2013 as a digital download.

Willy Moon, a Sinclair married singer, was born in New York City on May 23rd, 2014.

In late 2014, it was announced that Sinclair and Moon would be the judges and mentors on season two of The X Factor's New Zealand version of The X Factor, as the mentors in the Boys and Groups categories respectively. The two made scathing comments toward contestant Joe Irvine during the first live broadcast show, which Sinclair characterized as a "publicity stunt [she] couldn't defend [herself] against due to a burgeoning court gagging order." Irvine was doppelganger over his suspected copying of Moon's hairstyle and dress sense, with Sinclair describing him as "cheesy" and "disgusting." The remarks led to widespread outrage on social media, including a petition to have Sinclair and Moon removed from the show, which received over 70,000 signatures in less than 24 hours. The show's sponsors, franchise owner, and judges Melanie Blatt and Stan Walker also expressed disapproving of the incident, and Moon and Sinclair were barred from the show the next day. Natalie Bassingthwaighte, a former judge on the Australian version of the show, was sent to replace Sinclair, but Shelton Woolright replaced Moon.

Sinclair had left her record company, Cherrytree Records, shortly after being dismissed from The X Factor, according to the press. Sinclair told Billboard that although she was no longer signed to Cherrytree, she was still with Interscope Records at the time, although she later left them.

Sinclair formed Cruel Youth with her partner Moon in early 2016. "Mr. Watson," the band's first song, was released on Soundcloud in February, and "Diamond Days" in April were released on iTunes. "Hatefuck," the band's third single, as well as the introduction of their debut EP, +30 milliong, on September 16, 2016, was announced in early September. Sinclair co-wrote Rihanna's "Kiss It Better" in 2015, which went on to a Grammy nomination the following year.

"Devil in Paradise" and "Portrait of a Female" were two singles released by Cruel Youth in 2018.

Teddy Sinclair performed with Cyndi Lauper on the Apple+ TV show Central Park in 2020 on a song called "Rats."

As part of the Invitation's soundtrack, they also released the single "Mr. Badman" in 2022.
