Education and personal life
Linda Taylor Miller was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and she was named after her. She was born in Rochester, New York, and she and her family stayed in Fort Worth, Texas, for a time. Miller migrated often during her formative years due to her father's work as a pollution control specialist. She attended Tulane University's H. Sophie Newcomb Memorial College from 1971 to 1975, and joined the Chi Omega Sorority.
Miller modeled in New York City for a brief period of time before she was discovered. Nina Cortlandt had her first audition one month after being accepted in the Big Apple for the role. Nina was a favorite on ABC's All My Children just 2+1 month after she appeared.
