Annie Wersching (born March 28, 1977) is an American actress best known for her appearance in Renee Walker's American television series 24.

Early life and education

Wersching was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended Crossroads College Preparatory School in St. Louis' Central West End, graduating in 1995. She competed in Irish dance and belonged to the St. Louis Celtic Stepdancers as a child. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theatre from Millikin University, where she graduated in 1999.

Personal life

In September 2009, Wersching married actor and comedian Stephen Full at their Los Angeles home. They have three sons together.

Career

Wersching began her acting career with a guest appearance on the show Star Trek: Enterprise, and then on to guest starring roles on shows such as Charmed, Killer Instinct, Supernatural, and Cold Case. She appeared on ABC Daytime's soap opera General Hospital from March to November 2007. She has also worked in theaters such as Victory Gardens, Marriott Lincolnshire, and the Utah Shakespeare Festival.

Renee Walker, a retired FBI Special Agent, appeared in the seventh and eighth seasons of 24.

Wersching guest appeared on numerous television shows, including CSI, NCIS, Rizzoli & Isles, Body of Proof, Dallas, Revolution, Blue Bloods, The Vampire Diaries, and Touch (which stars Kiefer Sutherland), during her two-year stint on 24 seasons. In 2014, she appeared on the first season of the Amazon Prime Crime show Bosch.

Wersching was catcher for the National League in the 2009 Taco Bell All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Tournament.

Wersching, the voice and mocap actor of Tess, was confirmed in December 2012 in the PlayStation 3 exclusive The Last of Us. Before she was finally revealed in the story trailer on Spike Video Game Awards on December 7, 2012, she was teased on Geoff Keighley's Twitter account.

Wersching will be the Borg Queen in the second season of Star Trek: Picard in September 2021.

On Instagram, Vampire Diaries actress Scarlett Hefner paid a loving tribute to her on-screen mother Annie Wersching after she died from cancer at the age of 45. Hefner, 32, shared two photographs in memory of the actress, one showing her alone with Wersching smiling on the camera and the other with fellow Vampire Diaries cast members Elizabeth Blackmore and Teressa Liane. 'Annie was a beautiful person,' she captioned the photos, which have received more than 36,000 likes: 'Annie was a beautiful person.' I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to collaborate with her and learn from her. My thoughts are with her family and her loved ones.' Blackmore and Liane followed suit by announcing similar tributes to their respective pages. Liane started off with eight behind-the-scenes photos and started by saying, 'this doesn't sound real.'
