Filip Tadeusz Szczesniak (born 29 July 1990), better known as Taco Hemingway (earlier FV), is a Polish rapper, singer, and performer who has performed as a member of the legendary Polish band Quebonafide alongside rapper Quebonafide and comedian Quebonafide.

Early life

In 1990, Filip Szczeniak was born in Cairo, Egypt. He and his parents immigrated from Egypt to Guangzhou, China, at the age of 2. He started attending an English preschool before transferring to a Chinese preschool, where he had communication difficulties as a result of cultural and language differences. Szcze niak and his family migrated to Warsaw in 1996, where he had no difficulties in school while still developing his bilingualism from his early years. Szczeczniak said in an interview with Metro Warszawa that he spoke English with his mother and sister, and that he spoke in Polish with his father. He listened to several rap artists with his dad, honeding his rap obsession. In 2004, his parents divorced.

Szczek finished his studies at Prywatne Gimnazjumnazjum nr. 1 and Copernicus Bilingual High School in Warsaw, where he met his future producer, Maciej Ruszecki. He is also a professor of cultural studies at the University of Warsaw. He began studying for a master's degree in anthropology at University College London in 2012.

He wrote lyrics for his mixtape titled Who Killed JFK while studying in London. He started posting his first songs on YouTube using the name Foodvillain at the time. The rapper had failed to pursue music making as well. In his friend's basement, he rapped in English on illicitly downloaded MF DOOM beats. He referred to rappers like Childish Gambino or Jay-Z in his lyrics. The project itself received no media attention.
