Shreyas Talpade (born 27 January 1976) is an Indian actor who appears in Marathi and Hindi films.

He has appeared in many critically and commercially successful films, including the reincarnation melodrama Om Shanti Om (2007) and the comedies Golmaal Returns (2008), Golmaal 2 (2012), and Golmaal Again (2017).

Early life

Shreyas Talpade was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, on January 27th. His father is the brother of actresses Meena T. and Jayshree T. (full name "Jayshri Talpade")). Shree Ram Welfare Society's High School in Andheri West, as well as Mithibai College in Vile Parle, was attended by the Shreyas. Deepti Talpade, a psychiatrist, is married to him.

Talpade began his acting career by appearing in Marathi soap operas and stage shows throughout Maharashtra. He appeared in the Zee TV soap opera Woh (1998), in which he was the main protagonist. He has also appeared in mini-serials for the film "Adhikari Brothers." Tejas' role in a very popular Marathi serial Damini, was extremely popular among Marathi audiences. He appeared in Jaane Anjaane (2001) on Doordarshan, where he played the part of a son who dislikes his father because he believed his father was the reason for his son's death. The viewers enjoyed the same program. He made his Bollywood debut in Iqbal, a Nagesh Kukunoor's book by Vipul K Rawal in which he played the part of a deaf & mute youngster aspiring to be a cricketer. Both audiences and critics were raving over the film and his performances. Kukunoor's Dor's next film starred him in the comedic role of a behroopiya, a man with multiple disguises. Critics also loved this film.

He appeared in Apna Money Money in 2006, and in 2007, he appeared in Farah Khan's blockbuster film Om Shanti Om, where he played the role of Pappu Master. He was seen in Kukunoor's cross-cultural comedy film Bombay To Bangkok in 2008. Sanai Chaughade, a Marathi film that was released the same year, was also produced. In addition, Shyam Benegal's Welcome to Sajjanpur, Golmaal Returns, and Sangeeth Sivan's horror film, Click. Shreyas was also seen in the horror film "Help." Will You Marry Me?
