Music career

Shealeigh won the fifth season of the YouTube singing competition Cree Ingles Idol Search (now called Cree Ingles YouTube Idol) in 2009. Ellen DeGeneres discovered one of Shealeigh's videos on YouTube in 2010 and invited her to perform on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Shealeigh appeared in the fourth season of Radio Disney's N.B.T., one year later. (Next Big Thing) With the song "What Can I Say," she became the champion of the competition on December 7, 2011. In 2012, she unveiled "Strangely Beautiful," her first non-Disney single.

Shealeigh's debut EP, We All Want to Go Places, was released in 2017, followed by a single named "Landline" in 2018.

In 2022, Shealeigh's new EP, The Whole Sun Balancing Upon My Knees, was released.
