Early life and work
Dilaik was born in Shimla, Himalaya, in September 1987. She attended Shimla Public School and St. Bede's College, Shimla. Her father is a writer and has written many books in Hindi.
She appeared in her youth as a beauty pageant contest for which she captured two local beauty pageants and was crowned Miss Shimla in 2006. During her college years, she was a national-level debate champion. She holds a degree in English Literature with minors in political science. In 2008, she was crowned Miss North India Pageant held at Chandigarh.
Personal life
In Shimla, Dilaik married her longtime boyfriend, actor Abhinav Shukla, on June 21.
"I and Abhinav were going for a divorce and had missed each other time until November, and that's the reason we decided to join Bigg Boss 14 together." They announced that they did not commit to marriage until the show began. "Everything is fine now," Shukla said. There is no such thing as divorce. "The show made us stronger and strengthened our relationship," she says.
Career
She began her acting career with Chotti Bahu because she wanted to be an IAS and was planning, but auditions were held in Chandigarh but she was not chosen. Dilaik gained fame for appearing Radhika Shastri in Zee TV's Chotti Bahu opposite Avinash Sachdev and reprising his role in the show's sequel. In 2012, she appeared in Sony TV's Saas Bina Sasural as Simran "Smiley" Gill.
In 2013, she appeared in Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed opposite Karan Grover.
