Career
Jung made her acting debut in 2010 as a supporting actress in the television series Bad Guy, attracting a lot of curiosity. This culminated in her debut in Playful Kiss, the Korean translation of the famous manga Itazura na Kiss. Despite poor ratings in Korea, Jung's romantic comedy was also very popular in foreign countries, raising Jung's profile.
Jung took a short break in 2011 to concentrate on her studies at the Korea National University of Arts. She returned to the small screen in 2012 as part of the ensemble cast of the sitcom Standby.
