Paul Meany remixed the song "J Train" from TobyMac's debut studio album Momentum, under the moniker "Math" (the precursor to Mutemath). The remix appeared on the album Re:Mix Momentum by TobyMac, and it also featured vocals from Meany.

Meany has continued to work on numerous ventures outside of Mutemath, including tracks for Forenn and KiND, as well as Jonathan Allen's debut EP. Meany, a featured vocalist on Steve Angello's single "Breaking Kind" on August 4, 2017, as well as Seven Lions and Jason Ross' single "Higher Love" which was released on January 13, 2017.

Meany founded Wojtek Records in New York after Mutemath and Warner Bros. Records parted ways in 2015 and the dissolution of the Teleprompt company. All of Mutemath's fourth and fifth full length albums and remix project were released via Wojtek in collaboration with Caroline Records.

He was one of the co-founders of Teleprompt Records, a fictional organization that has since been defunct. Meany, the keyboardist and back vocalist for the band Earthsuit, was the same for the start of another Adam LaClave-fronted band, Macrosick, before forming Mutemath with drummer Darren King. Meany has also co-produced tracks for Jeremy Larson and another Earthsuit spin-off, Club of the Sons.

Meany collaborated on an LP named "Elevator Music," which was released by Victory Fellowship Church prior to Hurricane Katrina, and was later used as a fund-raising effort to assist victims. The album, which features fifteen contemporary worship tracks, was recorded live at Victory Fellowship Church, with Meany providing lead vocals.

Meany was involved in the development of much of the fifth Twenty One Pilots studio album, Trench, which was released on October 5, 2018. He also contributed to the one-off single "Level of Fear" in 2020, which was recorded and released as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. Meany used to "reimagine" and produce the TOPxMM EP, which featured four remakes off of their Blurryface album, and the single "Heathens" as well as a live 20-minute video of the band performing together in the studio. He was instrumental in the creation of the band's sixth studio album, Scaled and Icy, and he also acts as a musical director for them.

Meany also produced "Creature," the closing track on Half Alive's debut album, Now, Not Yet," which was released on August 9, 2019. Paul Meany appeared on The Blue Stones in 2020 and 2021, releasing their second album "Hidden Gems," which was released on March 19, 2021.

Meany is also recording Pierce the Veil's fifth studio album in New Orleans, Louisiana.
