Max Schneider Career

Career

Schneider was born in Woodstock, New York. He started playing at the age of three and became his first agent at the age of 14. Schneider was a swing understudy in the Broadway musical 13 performing 4 parts in 2008 and 2009, and he modeled with Madonna for an international Dolce & Gabbana campaign. He was the 2010 YoungArts Theatre Winner and he appeared in his first extended play (EP) First Encounters this year.

Schneider co-wrote the Disney film "How To Do" with Ben Charles in 2012. In the Nickelodeon television series How to Rock, he portrayed Zander and co-wrote a song for the show "Last 1 Standing" with Matt Wong and Claire Demorest, which he also contributed to the show. The song was included in two episodes of the series. In addition, Schneider appeared in the lead role as Charlie Prince in the Nickelodeon original film Rags. He toured with Victoria Justice on her Make It In America Tour in China and co-wrote the track "Standing in China" for Cody Simpson's debut studio album Paradise later this year.

Schneider appeared on two tracks from Hoodie Allen's debut album People Keep Talking in October 2014. He launched NWL in February 2015. The album was originally intended to be an EP titled The Nothing Without Love EP, and donations from Kickstarter funded the album. "Nothing Without Love" was its first single and accompanying music video on May 21, 2013. "Mug Shot," the singer's 2014 album cover, was his first to be released under the stage name MAX. Schneider has since returned to MAX as he "want the name] to be more of a vehicle for the music."

MAX had signed with DCD2 Records and would debut new music under the brand on February 19, 2015. He toured with Falls Out Boy, Wiz Khalifa, and Allen on the Boys of Zummer Tour throughout June. Hell's Kitchen Angel, his first under DCD2, appeared in April 2016. It featured the singles "Lights Down Low" and a "Young Pop-God" by GQ, as well as a "Young Pop-God"—the former astronaut's later received double platinum certificates in the United States and Canada. MAX was the lead singer of a new soul band named Witchita, which was formed with Tim Armstrong in the same month. On April 21, Hellcat Records released "Mrs Magoo," the group's first single, "Mrs Magoo." He was selected as Elvis Duran's Artist of the Month in June and appeared on NBC's Today show, hosted by Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, where he appeared on "Gibberish" as the single "Gibberish."

In 2018, MAX released "Team" with Noah Cyrus. "Love Me Less," MAX's latest hit song starring Quinn XCII in the summer of 2019, reached the top 20 on Top 40 Radio. MAX was named an iHeart 2019 Best New Pop Artist nominee and Billboard ranked as the top Emerging Artist on the planet. Love Me Less has been awarded Gold in the United States and Canada since then. On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Today Show, and Live with Kelly and Ryan, MAX performed the single. "Missed Calls" with Hayley Kiyoko was released in 2020 and appeared on the Korean artist Agust D-2, the solo moniker of Suga from the South Korean company BTS. Suga appeared in MAX's song "Blueberry Eyes" later this year. Colour Vision, MAX's third studio album, was announced on September 18.
