Early life

Victoria Dawn Justice was born in Hollywood, Florida, on February 19, 1993, the niece of Serene Reed and Zack Justice. Her father is of English, German, and Irish descent, though her mother, who is a Bronx immigrant, is of Puerto Rican ancestry.

Madison Grace Reed, a younger half of her sister, has a younger sister. In 2003, she and her family immigrated to Hollywood, California. Justice attended Cleveland High School before completing her diploma in a homeschool program when filming Victorious.

Justice has lived with her parents in an Encino Hills home she purchased since 2013.

Career

Justice began her acting career when she was ten years old, appearing on "The Hobbit, the Sofa, and Digger Stiles" in a Gilmore Girls episode in 2003. Jill No. 1 was portrayed by the justice system. 2, a walk-on role. Justice and her family moved to Los Angeles, where she pursued a career in acting after her appearance in the series. Justice appeared in the second episode of Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack & Cody in which she appeared as Rebecca, a young pageant contestant. In Aaron Ruell's 2005 short film Mary, Justice was cast as Stella, a young girl who begins seeing glimpses of Mary Magdalene.

Justice was accepted into the musical theatre program at the Millikan Performing Arts Academy in Los Angeles in 2005. She appeared in advertisements for Ralph Lauren, Gap, Guess, Mervyn's, Peanut Butter Toast Crunch, and Ovaltine. Justice played a principal role in the Nickelodeon series Zoey 101 as Lola Martinez, a young student who is an aspiring actor, during the same year. "I was bursting up and down and screaming at the time," she said on landing the role. That was a fantastic time." Justice's character was introduced in the second season on September 11, 2005. In addition, she appeared in the R-rated film When Do We Eat? and appeared in Rose in the Hallmark television film Silver Bells, the latter of which became a Hallmark Hall of Fame entry.

Justice made a guest appearance on an episode of Everwood in the series "Enjoy the Ride" in 2006. Justice also appeared in the thriller film The Garden in 2006. Critics were critical of the film. On May 2, 2008, Zoey 101 came to an end. In 2009, she announced that she would appear on a special edition of Nickelodeon's The Naked Brothers Band. Justice depicting herself was included in the TV special titled Valentine Dream Date. Justice did not record new music until 2009, when she appeared in the Nickelodeon musical Spectacular! in which Justice appears three times. On February 16, 2009, the film premiered on Nickelodeon. On its first night, the film became one of Nickelodeon's most popular films, with a 3.7 million audience. Many critics gave the film generally favorable feedback and that it had a 76 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes as of 2011.

She appeared in another episode, "The Premiere" after the success of the Naked Brothers Band special, in which Justice guest appeared, on April 11, 2009. She appeared in episodes of iCarly, True Jackson, VP, The Troop, and BrainSurge later in life. Justice revealed in 2009 that she would be filming on a thriller film, which is expected to be released on a theatrical version. Unlike initial expectations for a theatrical release, the film saw a limited preview launch on December 12, 2009, and was then returned to postproduction. The film's worldwide release was ultimately cancelled.

Justice announced that she would be starring in her own musical show on Nickelodeon called Victorious, citing the show's origins: "I was on Zoey 101." Lola Martinez, Dan Schneider's 12th film appearance, portrays me as a new character. I was with him for three years, on three seasons of Zoey 101. Justice later appeared on the animated series The Penguins of Madagascar, voicing Stacy's role in the episode "Badger Pride." Justice appeared in the 2010 Nickelodeon television film The Boy Who Cried Werewolf, a girl who is transformed into a werewolf after her move to a terrifying manor. The premiere attracted 5.8 million viewers. On February 2, 2013, the victorious finished its run. Justice was the lead character in the comedy Fun Size, which was released on October 26, 2012. In a 2010 interview with the Associated Press, she said she was recording an album but wanted to take her time with the process. In October 2012, she announced that her debut album would be released in 2013. On February 16, 2013, she launched "Girl Up," a Girl Up campaign that supports girls in developing countries. "Gold," Justice's debut single, was released on June 18, 2013. Justice had left Columbia Records in August 2014, but Billboard announced in August that new music would be released in 2015.

Justice had been cast in MTV's Eye Candy, a cyber thriller based on R. L. Stine's novel, in October 2013. After a season, the show was cancelled. In Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List this year, it was revealed that Justice had been cast in this year. On July 17, 2015, the film made its world premiere at the Outfest Film Festival. It was later released on September 18, 2015, via video-on-demand services. In an episode of Lip Sync Battle that aired on July 30, 2015, Justice also competed against Gregg Sulkin, performing Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and Nelly's "Hot in Herre."

Justice played Janet Weiss, one of the leading actors of Fox's The Rocky Horror Picture Showdown, on October 20, 2016. Let's Do the Time Warp Again. It's a salute to Kenny Ortega's 1975 film of the same name and was directed by Kenny Ortega, using Richard O'Brien and Jim Sharman's original script. Justice appeared in The Outcasts as Jodie. On April 14, 2017, the film was released.

Following Nickelodeon's decision to stage the event virtually, Justice hosted the 2020 Kids' Choice Awards. Justice revealed in July 2020 that she had been accepted into the Recording Academy. Justice revealed in December that her first single in over seven years would be called "Retreat Myself." The album was released on December 11, 2020, and it was the first single she released as an outsider. On February 12, 2021, a single called "Stay" was followed by a single. On May 28, 2021, the next single, "Too F*ckin' Nice," was announced.

Justice starred Brooke Gatwick in the romantic drama film Trust on March 12, 2021. She debuted a cover of Billy Paul's "Everybody's Breaking Up" to promote the film. Justice appeared in the film Afterlife of the Party, which premiered on Netflix on September 2, 2021. Spencer Sutherland and Jessica Rose Weiss co-wrote "Home" on the soundtrack album, which she performed and co-wrote a song called "Home." Lola Alvarez was the protagonist in Netflix's romantic comedy film A Perfect Pairing, which was released on May 19, 2022. She also appeared in the comedy film California King and the mystery thriller film The Tutor.
