Career

He appeared at Dibakar Banerjee's Oye Lucky. Well, even in school plays, Lucky Oye! Singh was turned down by the casting director for the role of the boy who grows up to be master thief Lucky. However, Dibakar Banerjee stayed insistent on casting him, later saying, "Even if the casting director wasn't convinced, I just put my foot down."

Singh attended a week-long acting workshop in Manali after being selected. He was asked to observe how Abhay Deol walked, smiled, and said so that he could imitate him in his acting.
